White House holds call with 34 governors on Syrian refugees

Obama administration officials held a conference call on Tuesday with 34 U.S. governors to discuss the country's refugee program, the White House said, after more than a dozen governors said they would refuse to accept Syrian refugees.

The administration officials assured the governors that the refugees would undergo the most rigorous screening and security vetting of any category of traveler to the United States, the White House said in a statement.

Some of the governors encouraged further communication by the White House to ensure that they are able to better respond to questions from the public about the refugee screening and resettlement process, the White House said.

This REUTERS story completely contradicts several others about the call, where even Jerry Moonbeam was ticked because Obama basically said “We don’t even have to tell you where and when they are coming, much less tell you who they are or share how we know who they are.”

See, this is another script out of the Saul Alinsky playbook. When you're clearing on the losing side of an issue, forge a "consensus" with the opposition and use that to continue to run roughshod over them. Any Republican Governor, or any Republican for that matter, that seeks a compromise on this issue is dead to me.

Not only should the refugee program be completely defunded, it should be completely scrapped. Instead, these Republican idiots want some kind of "vetting" process.

He said we've got a good vetting process in place where we can vet those that are coming from Syria into the United States.

So.. , there is no quality vetting, since there are no records to substantiate , or verify !

Obama is insisting that the Federal Government has jurisdiction over the State Government when it comes to these refugees. Constitutionally, that is probably true, but “we the people” supersede all. Keep these Syrian refugees out of your state.

A question in my mind all day:

Putting aside other issues, and assuming for the moment that these are all sweet, peaceful people:

Where are they going to find jobs? Affordable housing? How are they going to live?

We have our OWN needy people; there are still a lot of Americans who can’t find jobs!
