Louisiana Democrat gubernatorial candidate John Bel Edwards says, if elected, he hopes to engage with the âfederal authoritiesâ and be partners in the effort to âaccommodateâ the Syrian ârefugees who are fleeing from religious persecution.â
Edwards â who is running against GOP candidate Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) â wrote on his Facebook page:
As governor, I will continue to be an active participant in the ongoing conversation with federal authorities so that we can be partners in the effort to both accommodate refugees who are fleeing from religious persecution and ensure that all our people are safe.

This may derail Edwards’ otherwise almost certain victory. If Vitter does not capitalize on this NOW he is a fool.
Mr. Edwards is just looking for some ‘ink’.....what a sorry s—.
If this guy wants to get kill by terrorists why doesn’t he just cut out the middleman and do it himself. Democrats are terrorist by proxy

Hmm
Pelican State ping
Not to type of “ink” you want read at a deep-red state like Louisiana.
Sorry. Not *the* type of “ink” you want read at a deep-red state like Louisiana.
Your constituents blood will be on YOUR hands.
If them Cajuns don’t break out the tar and feathers, I’ll be sorely disappointed.
Time is of the essence. The Louisiana gubernatorial runoff is on Saturday.
ISIS’ useful idiot.
And the guy is practically running on his military record, including having attended West Point. Not much to brag about when the administration you support has terribly weakened our armed forces, and you say nothing against it.
There is very little sense of what is going on here. People are unusually reticent this time around. Edwards has run a very good campaign up until this faux pas. It makes my flesh crawl to thing Louisiana might have another governor Edwards.
He didn’t say How many he was bringing in to HIS HOME, I wonder why??
I hope he puts that little pearl in one of his ads - he would be toast. He’s noting more than an obama water boy liberal who, like all other liberals, offers everyone free everything at the cost of our tax payer dollar. I hope we won’t be as stupid as America was TWICE and vote for this liberal sleaze.
Governors, lack authority to stop Syrian refugees
The law governing acceptance of refugees, the Refugee Act of 1980, puts authority for admission of refugees in the hands of the president:
Signed by President Jimmy Carter.

Very important that their polling numbers be tracked right now, to see if this demolishes Edwards numbers.
Fork meet Edwards!
