World leaders have taken to calling ISIS “Daesh,†a word the Islamic State hates.
Since the attacks in Paris, both John Kerry and François Hollande have used it. The Kurdish militants battling ISIS in Iraq already use the term regularly, though they risk loosing their tongues by uttering it.
Daesh is an acronym. It stands for the Arabic name of the Islamic State: al-Dawla al-Islamiya fi al-Iraq wa al-Sham. When Jen Percy, a New Republic contributor, went to northern Iraq this year, the Assyrian Christians waging a war against ISIS were calling ISIS troops “Daesh.†In her article for our September issue, she called it “a pejorative term for ISIS in Arabic.â€

Slowly but surely civilization are headed for a showdown about (i)slam what I believe was long in coming and inevitable, and I am delighted to see that it finally may be coming to a head. I never took an issue with the religious portion of (i)slam as I don’t see anything wrong believing in God, or praying five, ten or fifteen times a day if this is what makes the believers happy. But all the other crap associated and combined with this religion is for the birds, conceived by a warmongering pedophile and only leads to mayhem, killings and strife, certainly undesirable for any advancing society who is attempting to get along in a peaceful manner.
You just don’t tell humans, either submit to my religious believes or we are going to kill you, this theme is getting a little bit old and worn out. Unless (i)slam is going change what I believe will never happen, unfortunately we will be heading for an ultimate collision, or showdown, what happened more than once over the course of history and one side will lose and the other side wins. If I had to make any bets I would say that eventually (i)slam will fail and end up on the trash heap of history, like so many other concepts which could not stand the test of time.

Last time this made the rounds I thought someone pointed out the left wanted to use that name. By taking Islam out of the name c they thought it would defuse anti Islamic sentiments. Not happening.
