Donald Trump said Monday he is capable of turning on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in their competition for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination.
“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,†he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.† “We’ll see what happens but so far we haven’t,†Trump continued. "He’s been very supportive [and] we have a lot of the same ideas.
“Well, he’s been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.â€

So apparently it’s not about the issues, just Trump’s ego.
If Trump goes to war with Cruz I will have to go to war with Trump. So far, I have given Trump the benefit of the doubt.

I would go to war with a friend of mine anytime. I want him to fight with me against the establishment.
There are people that think they will sit at the fire with a beer singing songs till election day.
I don’t think Trump wants to do that, LOL. Intellectually, he would be bringing a pancake turner to a rapier fight.
But it would be comedy gold, that’s for sure.
No kidding. If Trump starts giving Cruz the Carson treatment Trump and I are finished.
This is about the nation, not any one person. Stick to the issues.

Another much ado about nothing article. I listened to the whole interview. Trump compliment Cruz respectfully & made the “go to war” comment as an aside.
Same here. He should be going to war against the Hildebeast and Bernie the commie not fellow Republicans.
Trust me, the Left DOES NOT want to see Cruz get nominated. He's the only candidate that can refute the Left's narratives, premises, and outright lies. In any debate, he will gut the Democrat like fresh perch.
It is not a war. It may be a contest. But it is not a war, at least not against those of similar views. It is about ideas and ideology. Candidates are not at war. The people choose the one who best represents them. The only war is a war of ideology. Trump will be foolish to make it a war of personalities. If he does, he does. I would advise others to just ignore it. Let him make a fool of himself if he chooses.
I’ve been happy the two of them have thus far gotten along well.
Let’s hope this continues. FR would be heck if those two ever start going at it, against each other.
