A new video, purportedly released by ISIS, threatens further attacks against Western nations and identified Washington, D.C. specifically.
“The video, which appeared on a site used by Islamic State to post its messages, begins with news footage of the aftermath of Friday’s Paris shootings in which at least 129 people were killed,†Reuters reports. The message is delivered by a man identified as Al Ghareeb the Algerian, who was dressed in fatigues and a turban. It is directed to Western nations currently engaged in the Syrian Civil War.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,†he said.

Despite the resident cockroaches, who many people wouldn’t mind seeing bear the results of their inaction against Islamic terrorism, that city is important to the country.
It’s very likely that a terrorist attack on DC will kill and/or injure civilians. Tourists. Kids on their 8th grade social studies trips etc...Also, a lot of our national history resides there (The Declaration, the Consititution, The Smithsonian, The library of congress) along with many, many landmarks.
We should care about losing those things. They are a big part of what helps us understand who we are or at least who we should aspire to be as a country.
The only obvious solutions are to admit at least another 500,000 Syrian refugees and double down on all industries that contribute to global warming.

I don’t get the comments in this thread. While I disagree with Obama and the Washington class on just about everything, I don’t want any Americans harmed or killed, nor anyone anywhere killed by this terrorist group ISIS. Don’t let hate take over your heart because of Obama’s, the Dems and the GOP’s politics.
God protect Washington, protect all people from all these terrorist groups. End ISIS have them turn against themselves.
