Donald Trump continued his criticism of President Obama's Syria policy Monday, hours after Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said the President has no plans to halt the acceptance of refugees from the war-torn country.
"We cannot let them into this country, period," the Republican presidential hopeful told CNBC.
Trump continued, "We have no idea who these people are, we are the worst when it comes to paperwork.
"This could be one of the great Trojan horses," he said.

I will support Cruz and Trump, however in the end you must go with the man that can WIN, Big numbers do not lie. Except any and all of the Dem numbers......
Side note, I’m an old Stockton, Calif. guy born and raised in that town, moved to TN as fast/soon as I could :-)I do miss the old town from time to time.
If Obama brings them here - and they kill Americans - democrats are finished as a party...
EVERY terrorist act in the country will be blamed on Democrats...
Of course it’s “crazy”. And why Trump said he send them all back, 5 days before Cruz said anything at all.
This is not complex.
This is not complex. It is, however, crazy. They don't call the Republican party "the stupid party" for nothing.
Trump said five days earlier that if he's elected, he'd send them back; Cruz said DON'T TAKE THEM NOW.
Oh well. When Trump double-crosses all of your expectations the same as Arnold Schwarzenegger, don't say you weren't warned and don't say it wasn't pretty damned obvious.
There are no middle-aged men ... mostly young fit looking dudes.
~~ The West and the Refugees ~~
Trump said he’d send them all back if elected. Cruz, 5 days later, then said, “Bringing them here is nuts.”
Your words, not mine.
Maybe you and Cruz are a bit slow and should reboot and update yourselves. They’ve *already* imported 2,000+ Syrians into the U.S. this year.
This is not complex slick.
Urging not to bring them here at all, versus promising to send them home (after they've murdered how many) IF he's elected, are pretty different things.
As for five days earlier ... on Sept. 24 -- a week before Trump's Oct. 1 promise -- Cruz was actively urging Congress to resist opening the floodgates to Syrian refugees before they are vetted for ties to "ISIS, al Qaeda, al Nusra and other radical Islamic terrorist groups."
Trump and Cruz are saying the same thing. But people are falling all over themselves praising Trump for it as if he was the only one.
Wow....Once again, it's too late for that Finny. Theyâve *already* imported 2,000+ Syrians into the U.S. this year alone.
Obama wants more in, Trump says it's insane and if Obama does bring in more, he will send them back if elected. I really have no idea what your squawking about finny.
It's more than praising Finny. Trump got a standing ovation from thousands when he said, "I will send them all back".
And your point it — somehow it’s not as meaningful or profound when Cruz says it?
Sincere and outspoken as he is, he's still a patriotic celebrity billionaire real estate mogul who became famous through self-promotion and showmanship. The ovation wasn't for him, it was for the idea he expressed. And the idea is being expressed in many places.
I have no idea what your talking about Finny because he’s mentioned it at multiple venues. And if you like Cruz that’s fine. I am sure he’s a great guy.
Praising Trump to high heaven as if what he's doing is new, when Cruz has been saying the same things and acting on them back in September in fact, urging Congress and Homeland Security against it --
I am sure Trump is a great guy. But to think he's great because of his words on Syrian refugees is a dumb reason to think he's great.
Oh...I get it, you’re mad or upset everyone doesn’t support the guy you like? I don’t think I can help you Finny.
Thanks for the timeline.
I’ll use the distinction between real refugees and these military-aged men when the anti-Trumpers try to use it.
