Gun Owners of America: Time to Let Gun Grabbers Know We Will Not Comply
Breitbart ^ | 11/15/2015 | AWR Hawkins

On November 12, CBS NEWS reported that “White House lawyers” are examining gun laws to find an avenue where President Obama can use executive action to go around Congress and expand background checks to cover private gun sales.

Obama and the attorneys are trying to determine a threshold that private gun owners who sell and trade guns would cross in order to be treated like licensed gun dealers. Once they cross that threshold—which NBC News reported might be “50 or 100 guns a year”—private citizens would be required to go through a licensed dealer and obtain a background check in order to sell a gun to a neighbor, co-worker, or parent. In other words, the private gun sales Americans have conducted since 1791 would be done away.

Guns Owners of America’s (GOA) executive director Larry Pratt recently talked to Breitbart News about this behind-the-scenes maneuver and said it is past time for GOP leaders in Congress to stand up in clear opposition to Obama’s plans. He also suggested it may be time for law-abiding citizens to simply let it be known that they will not comply, much like citizens in Washington state did after Michael Bloomberg and other one-percenters doled over millions upon millions of dollars to expand background checks to private gun sales in that state.

Pratt said:

This is never going to happen, because BATF doesn’t want it.

The problem with setting a fixed threshold is that BATF would have to abide by it, and they very much prefer to be able to make things you as they go along.

Fixed standards are the last thing they want.

The Paris Massacre is only going to ratchet up sales of guns & ammo in America even further.

Poor disarmed French people helpless against armed jihadis? Not on this side of the Atlantic, Pierre!

Vive L’Amerique libre!

Almost all CA handguns, so-called assault weapons, rifles and shotguns are required to be registered. Also, no face to face sales. Almost all sales have to go thru FFL.

Law abiding citizens are buying guns in record numbers because we see the writing on the wall. We know why the MSM keeps oversensationalizing every shooting episode for maximum effect, that the WH has thier hand in the increase in shootings, and how and why Soros and his anti-gun propaganda machine is being used to dupe the weaker minded of the population into blindly trusting their big daddy government to care for and protect them.

Anyone that’s LEO or inthe military knows how they really feel about this administration and why Obama is assembling a brown skin army.

I think they’re going to try to ban cash sales for guns and ammo so that they can track all sales via CCs and checks.
In WI, they’re trying to ban cash sales for certain medical treatments, and it’s the rinos that are behind it.

“Also, no face to face sales.”

You forgot to add the term “legally”.

The poster puts Mao in power in 1935 but he was nowhere near power in that year. It also puts Pol Pot in power in 1956 and he was less than a nobody. The poster needs some editing.

Gun Control Act of 1968 it is too late for zero compliance.

You would be surprised how many here at FR support that legislation.

What am I to think of a government that doesn’t trust the people who voted for it, but completely trusts people from nations who openly say they want to kill/destroy us???????

Remember to keep handy knives, baseball bats, machetes, knives and other “tools”. You never know what kind of household project might arise.

Good graphic, but citizens can’t belong to a person. The correct term would be subjects.

This issue is not mine to worry about. Sadly, my guns were lost in a tragic fire/explosion that leveled my barn. Most of the identifiable items were melted and charred, not usable nor even recognizable as firearms or ammunition. It took three months to produce the sales slips to claim and fight the insurance company for the $200,000 insurance money.

I have a new Porsche and am now into bow hunting.

AB 366, WI prohibits cash transactions for uninsured patients at pain clinics. Sponsored by state Rep Nygren, rino, Marinette.
This is a horrible precedent. If passed, it will metastasize to other businesses.

Sometimes I just sit back and think “Lets elect Hillary, let her get 70 Senators like DiFi and 360 House members that are the same. Let them pass all the gun control they want and then ask them ‘Who in the hell is going to enforce your new laws?’”
I am 60, tired of this crap and wonder if we need another Civil War/Revolution now? If it is going to happen, I want in on it so my daughter doesn’t have to fight it later. Time to buy rope, oil and pitch forks to go with our guns and ammo.
I am not advocating anything, just wondering.
Guess my cynical mood is coming out tonight.

They don’t care. The goal is to make gun owners criminals, not to get rid of guns.

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against - then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”-—Atlas Shrugged
