In a still developing situation, the city of Paris, France, is under attack by terrorists armed with guns and explosives. Many dozens of people have been killed. A still undetermined number of people have been wounded. The terrorists took dozens of hostages in a concert hall. French police and military forces have been deployed. There is mayhem and blood in the streets of Paris.
President Obama has correctly described this day’s horrific events as “an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share.â€

Our priest (Capuchin, I think) on camp said a daily 9:00 A.M. Mass. I ended up going to daily MASS in the KSA, with, I might add, the blessing of my Muslim boss. My Catholic, Indian co-worker was the one who objected.
I continue daily Mass today here at home in the USA. God does work in mysterious ways.
All Christian services were held at the LARGE clubhouse on camp. It served many purposes too, dinners, parties, dances, etc.

Chauncey takes time to give us a definition of terrorism, provided to him by some left wing Professor, no doubt. But, he gets it completely wrong. The goal of terrorism is the destruction of our civilization, not alter policy. He really has nothing to say about the terrorists who murdered over 100 innocent human beings, what is really on his mind is the evil right wingers who dare to criticize this behavior in the world as well as the much milder version running rampant on campuses. This is what he believes ought to be stopped at all costs. Those doing the killing apparently meet with his approval.

When the Saudis stop financing Islamic terrorism in the West as a way of keeping the violent extremists at ‘peace’ with the Saudis, I may consider the Saudis to be in this to end it.
