Steve Clemons stated French officials he had talked with criticized lack of US support against fighting terrorism, "ISIS has been incubated for two years with absence of US leadership, and that the United States needs to take the security of its allies more seriously."
Responding to a question about conversations "some French officials here in the US expressing frustration about lack of support from the US, in terms of France's ability to fight this jihad" Clemons said, âWell, the discussion I â was with French officials in Paris communicating this, and in doing so, on a background basis, and personal basis, saying that one of the things that theyâre facing is why did this happen, why did this happen?
I got an email this morning saying our proximity to Syria and all things Syria is profound and big, but the bigger part is that, for a variety of reasons, directly and indirectly, ISIS has been incubated for two years with an absence of US leadership, and that the United States needs to take the security of its allies more seriously, and it was a direct implication that we had not done and acted in a way to take actionâ¦very clearly I sensed in these emails and the exchanges, frustration, tenseness, but also confidence.
He said, we will prevail in this, but there was a real frustration and tenseness over that. And a frustration that â not only about what was happening and unfolding on the streets of Paris, but how it had been able to metastasize and grow over the last two years.â
âWe may see within the next 24 hours focus on Article 5 of NATO, whether there will be a collective security commitment, compelling us to move forward with a more muscular approach than we've given thus far.â

Well, well, well. America can’t win. When they’re involved across the world, they’re the bad guy. When they don’t show up, they’re the bad guy. Seems to me no matter what you guys do the world complains.
The only thing to do is what is right, regardless of world opinion.
Since Barry and the GOP have messed this up and restricted allies from acting with threats of pulling American cash, the French have a point.
Send Barry and the GOP to France and make them personally fix their mess.
Get a clue, France. The POTUS is a Muslim, UNABLE to wage war against his ‘people’ LET ALONE SAY ‘RADICAL ISLAM’ OR ‘TERRORIST ATTACK’.
MAJOR BINGO for you. You've hit the nail on the head with both your sentences. Thank you.
So, the French are blaming the lack of U.S. Leadership and the American Progressives are blaming the hate speech (the definition of which is up to the administration) of the conservatives and talk show hosts. Me, I think the Muslims are responsible even though every Western government has screwed the pooch so as to say.
My opinion? The POTUS is a coward, pure and simple.
The Europeans didn’t want us to have a cowboy President.
We have a schoolmarm President.
Now, the Europeans are standing neck-deep in bullshirt because there isn’t a cowboy to keep things in order, and all they get from the schoolmarm President is a lecture about how the sun is hot.
Git along little doggies.
OK, gentlemen, you lead, it’s your turn. Defend your own interests, if you are able.
Well
That extend ended when France and the rest of Europe surrendered to Islam
No getting around that little (/s) problem, and the blame it entails with regard to this issue.
After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding this
to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our turn is
coming again soon. We stand united against Islamic
extremists.
This president is no schoolmarm.
He's a limp wristed bathhouse towel boy.

1. Why didn’t France bomb isis targets before today?
2. I’m ashamed of the president we have in our country. He is a disgrace. And his beliefs/ignorance/ineptness in letting these people into our country is heaping coals on a fire. and Congress does nothing! I hope every state refuses to allow them in.. stand for SOMETHING for a change!
And a little sideline... political correctness is a way to forbid free speech without the uproar... it’s worked.
Perhaps they should accuse a bunch of others for an absence of followership.
True that US has not led for 7 years. But the French should also step up and not expect others to do the job.
How bout supporting Israel. That will get you good help.
You are on your own France. We got enough cemeteries over there bailing out you cowards.
None of that. It’s Climate Change.....//sarc
