Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the Democratic Party presidential debate on Saturday evening in Iowa that she would not use the phrase âradical Islamâ to describe the enemy responsible for attacking the United States and the west in general.
The exchange with moderator John Dickerson of CBS News was as follows (rush transcript):
Moderator: Secretary Clinton, you mentioned radical jihadists. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), also running for president, said this attack in Paris showed that we are at war with radical Islam. Do you agree with that characterization âradical Islam?â
Clinton: I donât think weâre at war with Islam. I donât think weâre at war with all Muslims. I think weâre at war with jihadists
Moderator: Just to interrupt. he didnât say all Muslims. He said âradical Islam.â
Clinton: I think you can talk about Islamists who clearly are also jihadists, but I think itâs not particularly helpful to make the case that Senator Sanders was just making that I agree with that weâve got to reach out to Muslim countries. Weâve got to have them be part of our coalition. If they hear people running for president who basically shortcut it to say we are somehow against Islam. . .

Clinton is such a slimy shape shifter.
Hubby was watching this nonsense for a bit and I was in the other room. I had to laugh because Bernie Sanders sounded so much like Larry David’s imitation of him. I really thought they brought David on stage as a prank!
Christian jihadists? Buddhist jihadists?
Maybe the lofos will buy this. But she has the lofo vote locked up already.
Just saying âStop Jihad Now!â is way easy. Repeat after me...
Ask hilldigery to push her reset button...and bring on Susy dog rice spokesperson of our security.*#@%
There was only one option: Drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki or prepare for a full-fledged invasion of Japan, which would’ve resulted in (at minimum) a million America servicemen dying and an equal number, if not double, that in Japanese civilians. An unimaginable horror with repercussions that would’ve led to the Soviets occupying a good chunk of Japan (which they were badly hoping to do), just for starters, and perpetual bitterness and hatred between our two nations in the aftermath. It would’ve weakened us both and massively empowered the Soviets and the Communist cause.
My old man was WWII Airborne.
His brothers and cousins, and on Mom’s side as well, were Pacific Marines, and Army.
I can guarantee you all that to a man, they ALL were “in favor” of bombimg the living bat crap out of Germany and Japan, with any and all means available, to end the war.
If you go to war, you go to win it with the least amount of damage to YOUR people as possible, and the greatest possible carnage inflicted on the other side.
And then the war ends.
Islam understands that. Our idiots in charge understand it too. But they’re too afraid to win.
Back when this country fought wars to win them.
When I saw that Drew Peterson movie my feeling was “Lowe has become Drew Peterson, he’s more Drew Peterson than Drew Peterson”.
Same thing here with Larry David.
And I love what they did with Hillary, like “Marci” from “Married with Children” (the character was a feminist environazi RINO) on acid or Reese Witherspoon from “Election” on crack or something.
Here's a few alternatives the other side uses, details at link:
Argument 4: There Were Alternatives
Alternative 1: A Demonstration of the bomb
Alternative 2: Wait For the Russians
Alternative 3: Let the Japanese Keep Their Emperor
Alternative 4: Continue Conventional Bombing
If we sat still and waited them out over a few decades (OK, maybe like 50 years), Obama could have used drones and their missiles to take out the Imperial general staff,
I’ve probably read that before (I don’t know why they put “Let the Japanese Keep Their Emperor” in there, since that was done - which is where our biggest mistake in WW1 in not allowing Germany to keep the Kaiser in place, even as a figurehead, which might’ve halted Hitler from rising to power).
Since we defeated the Germans first, we won’t know 100% whether we’d have used the bombs against them (however the Dresden bombings point to that we probably would’ve) had Japan capitulated earlier.
As for the Russians, as I stated earlier, allowing them in would’ve seen them demand a substantial chunk of Japan to Sovietize (as with East Germany and everything else behind the Iron Curtain). A divided Japan, free and Soviet, would’ve led to a Civil War similar to Korea and Vietnam, and my gut says Japan may have fallen to the Communists.
Conventional bombing ? They could’ve continued that, yes, but I think it would’ve merely resulted in stalemate. We were going to have to invade and subdue. You can’t control a country until your people are on the ground.
Let’s face facts, Americans were weary by August 1945, after taking care of Nazi Germany, they wanted a swift end in the Pacific Theater. Moving our men from Europe to the Pacific to join the ones already there was a difficult prospect. Had Truman sat on the bombs while continuing to play things out conventionally (while hundreds of thousands of casualties were racked up, American military and militarized Japanese civilians), the public would’ve lynched Truman and the Democrat party would’ve been obliterated (”Truman lied, millions died”).
Truman had no choice. The war had to be ended in Japan by using any means necessary that kept American casualties to a minimum. Demonstrations of the bomb would’ve been pointless. Hiroshima alone should’ve forced surrender, but it didn’t. Even Nagasaki almost wasn’t enough. If saner heads hadn’t prevailed in Japanese leadership realizing we were prepared to turn Japan into a sheet of glass from stem to stern, it’s difficult to ponder how much further we’d have had to go.
As for it being used as a warning to the Soviets as well, consider it a plus. Alas, they utilized more underground methods in their cold war against us (for which we’ve been reaping their successful results in recent decades).
Every time they don’t say âRadical Islamâ take a drink. You’ll soon die of alcohol poisoning. ;-)
They sneak attacked us to destroy our fleet and killed civilians too.
Then enslaved many countries Korea, China, etc
They acted truly barbaric to US troops and the countries they invaded.
They turned their troops into suicide bombers
It wasn't Vietnam or Iraq, nothing like them.
Bringing them to their knees was the most appropriate.
Especially attempting to apply the moral standards of today, which are greatly diminished and debased (where Christianity is bashed and attacked and sodomy is considered a sainted act), to past actions.
We have a local leftist idiot who writes letters to our newspaper editor and editorials attacking Andrew Jackson and his “genocide” against Native Americans. It’s a direct assault on my Scots-Irish 4xgreat grandfather, my 3xgreat grandfather and his 2 brothers who lived here in Middle TN, moving from NC around 1800. The Creek Indians were launching attacks here and my aforementioned 50-year old gggg grandpa and his sons, all of whom were humble farmers, had little choice but to follow Gen. Jackson and make a foray into Alabama to put this to a halt, otherwise it would’ve continued indefinitely with countless more casualties. To this local idiot, he’d have been fine with the countless more casualties that would’ve resulted (to the point, he would prefer it to be genocide of Whites by the Creeks, Cherokee, et al).
I get really sick of these “enlightened” idiots whose half-baked opinions of these subjects, if followed, would’ve ended in far worse results.
RE “.I donât know why they put âLet the Japanese Keep Their Emperorâ in there, since that was done ...”
Because we would be fighting them for a hundred years if we’d executed him. That was their culture at the time, and MacArthur understood them very well.
In other words “know your enemy” - and he knew and understood them very well.
RE “...We were going to have to invade and subdue....”
Operations Olympic and Coronet were already on the boards and set to kick off in november of 45.
Okinawa was a bloodbath. Two of my uncles were on Okinawa (in two different divisions - one Marine, one Army). One was greivously wounded there.
Kyushu was next. Intelligence at the time showed that the Japanese were digging in, basically at the water’s edge, and they were issuing bamboo spears to women and children. There was a grotto at Kerama Retto island FULL of suicide boats, ready to ram American transports. They were floating, guided bombs.
They were ready for the mother of all battles. The atomic weapons were the only option to save millions of American - and Japanese - lives.
Fortunately that MacArthur did realize that, and the mistake of removing the Kaiser in WW1 underscored that as well. Too bad he was stopped from removing the Communist scourge in Korea and China. Had that been accomplished successfully, with a united Korea and Chiang in charge of China, the likelihood of a Communist agenda in Southeast Asia (Vietnam) would’ve been stopped dead in its tracks. Just imagine where we’d be today had all that been put down 60 years ago.
So many today don’t realize how thoroughly brainwashed and indoctrinated the Japanese people were about the Americans, that we were pure evil, so much that the fear of God was put into them about us and that fighting to the death or outright committing suicide was preferable to capture (remember those images of Japanese women and their babies jumping off cliffs into the Pacific at Saipan).
You don’t try to reason with a mad dog; neither do you with a fanatical enemy.
You kill them all.
BTW, the “winner” is Chazz Sheen:

Just like we “reasoned” with kamikaze. We blew their asses out of the skies.
