Donald Trump was in Iowa tonight and gave a speech to thousands of supporters in Fort Dodge. He blasted all of his opponents, especially Ben Carson, who he repeatedly mocked and spoke about for 9 minutes.
He even does a little stabbing scene before asking what the hell is wrong with Iowa that Ben Carson is so close to him in the polls.

Love it!!!
Go Trump....smoke ‘em out :)
Preach it, RitaOK! You have your way with words!
I just caught a moment or two of Rush Limbaugh’s show. He said if Trump’s speech results in a shake-up and takes him out of the race, Cruz is very well-positioned to pick up the pieces, and is the man to watch.
And she'd use her phony black accent while doing it.
But I would argue that most voters do not study politics...they just look at the guy and within a couple of words can describe them. Look, Cruz is perhaps the most intelligent/constitutional candidate that has run for office in a long, long time. I agree with you on that point. Most voters though tend to look through a different sense than either you, or I.
When Trump talks into the room, he acts like he owns it. People recognize an Alpha Male when they see one and that is why Trump has done so well in the polls. We will see if his Kill-Shot aimed at Carson was successful or not within a week or two. Trump could have stepped in it big time or just managed to knock his competition out of the water. We shall see.
My trailing in psychology tells me that your “diagnosis” of Dr. Carson is all wet. That’s not to say that I view him as the ideal candidate. But he beats chump trump by a long mile.
No, but a bunch of foaming deranged TDSers might be. And maybe we don’t like being called foaming or deranged.
His dad abandoned him, like Obama's dad.
I used to be skeptical of Trump because of his several marriages; but he seems to have finally picked the right kind of woman for himself now, his grown kids have turned out very well, and he manifestly loves his parents' memories, both of them. He had a strong relationship with both mother AND father. It's such a gift to a child to have that. Look how he can still rely on the reassurance of that love decades after they are gone.
There are other parts to the Bill of Rights, like the part accepting that the government may use the power of eminent domain for PUBLIC USE, not private enrichment of crony capitalists. As well, there are multiple articles spelling out the relationship between the executive and the other branches of governnent. Sen. Cruz obviously gets that. trump, I don’t know.
I believe that is certainly a factor, him knowing so many people at top levels already.
It isn’t just a matter of knowing them or having met them either. He’s been watching many of them for many years.
Trump has had to keep tabs on all sorts of people because their actions could impact his businesses.
“But he has learned over the years how many times you have to repeat new information to the mid- to low-info voters before they start to get it”.
All candidates repeat the same things. How many times has Kasich told you he’s the only one who has balanced the budget, or his father was a mailman? How many times has Fiorina told you she would send in the 7th Fleet and she would get on the phone and call her old friend bibi. How many times has she said she’s met more world leaders that anyone on the stage other than Hillary Clinton. How many times has Barack O’Rubio told you his mother was a maid and his father was a bartender. How many times has Rubio said the words “21st Century” in each and every speech he gives. How many times has Huckabee told you he’s the only who had “defeated” the Clinton machine. How many times has has Senoir Jeb said he’s the most pro-life person on the stage, which is BS.
They all repeat the same lines. But Trump does one thing others don’t do. They repeat the same thing from prepared talking points, whether in debates or on the stump. Trump NEVER USES a teleprompter or a canned prepared speech to get his message across.
I think Rush is correct in that observation.
Training, not trailing. Damned autocorrect.
Welcome to the mainstream Protestant experience, comrade!
After 5 generations in the Methodists, watching a once-noble denomination circle the drain, it took me 10 years to finally find a Bible-believing church that is literate and educated, but apostolic. Not a moment too soon. Pray for the Church Universal; we all need it.
Actually, Ive met more than one person in my life who was very good at the job for which they were trained, but not very adept at original thought or logic. I would suspect that its quite common. I once new a microbiologist with a Masters degree who was dumb as a rock. I’ve known plenty of doctors who were chain smokers, drank like a fish, and threw temper tantrums.
Beautifully stated.
I do not think Trump unstable nor insane. He shoots from the hip but he has a plan and grand vision. Therefore, my theory (and not a new one) is this ... he is doing this in preparation to announce to the world the guy that he has "hired" to take his place and supporters to be POTUS ....
The country doesn’t necessarily want to elect an alpha male strongman. Our presidents tend to be much more soft-spoken than that. We can look around the world at other alpha male leaders like Putin, Saddam Hussein and Hugo Chavez and see the results. Often we see too much aggression that leads to bad results on the world stage. One of the Iowa polls showed Trump doing exceptionally poorly with female voters.
He does listen to his family members -- his sister is a Federal judge, and his wife and grown children are keen on his image, and they have stayed on his case about several issues. I'm sure he has other trusted friends. He has mentioned Carl Icahn a lot in the financial realm.

LOL. Every single female I know including myself are voting for Trump. Not a single exception!
