Environment: What would happen if every country taking part in the United Nations climate summit in Paris later this month cut its greenhouse gas emissions as they have pledged? The short â and long â answer is: nothing.
The goal of the Paris talks is "to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below" 2 degrees Celsius, or 36 Fahrenheit.
To reach this, countries have submitted their "intended nationally determined contributions," which outline how much they pledge to cut their greenhouse gas emissions.
The U.S., for example, promises that by 2025 it will have cut its greenhouse emissions 26% to 28% below 2005 levels.
If every country follows the U.S. lead that President Obama believes we should take, that should do it, right?
Global warming threat extinguished.
Climate crisis averted.
Don't believe it.

I love scientific articles with huge math mistakes. Someone either at IBD or its source converted a change of 2 degrees C into 36 degrees F. Either they left a decimalnout of the real value of 3.6 degrees F, or didn't correctly handle the offset for the freezing point and got 35.6 degrees F and rounded up.
Yet I am the unscientific "denier".
“... 2 degrees Celsius, or 36 Fahrenheit. ...” Their math skills leave something to be desired.
They probably let a graduate of a journalism school do the arithmetic.
2 deg C=36 deg F under common core math. And, doesn’t it make it sound more catastrophic that way too? OMG!!! 36 degrees!!! We’re all gonna drown. LOL!
Somebody needs to check the math.

Religious group hits air waves with ad pushing Kirk to support Obama’s EPA policies
By Warner Todd Huston -
A new radio spot being played on Chicago talk radio by a purportedly âChristianâ environmentalist group is using a pack of lies about Christianity and the environment in order to push left-wing Senator Mark Kirk into signing onto the Presidentâs global warming policies.
A faux Christian group calling itself the âEvangelical Environmental Networkâ launched its radio blitz on November 12 with the sales line âItâs up to us to care for the earth that God left us.â But the ad is quite a pack of lies especially considering that it is coming from a group of so-called Christians.
