Billionaire 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump waded into coffee giant Starbucks' alleged war on Christmas Monday when he suggested a boycott of the company over its controversial red holiday cups, but the company says there is no war.
"Did you read about Starbucks?" Trump asked a crowd of about 10,200 during a rally at a convention center in Springfield, Illinois, on Monday evening.
"No more 'Merry Christmas' at Starbucks. No more," he said as the crowd booed disapprovingly at his comments. "I wouldn't buy. Hey look, I'm speaking against myself. I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower," he continued. "Maybe we should boycott Starbucks, I don't know. Seriously," he added to cheers. "I don't care. By the way: That's the end of that lease. But who cares? Who cares? Who cares?!"
Trump then hit the crowd with this promise: "If I become president, we're all going to be saying 'Merry Christmas' again. That I can tell you. That I can tell you! Unbelievable."

How about if we call it a microaggression?
That seems to work.
For facetious effect maybe. But the whole selling POINT of Christian faith is that it ISN’T as petty as the fragile edifices set up by lost people. At least we should try to exercise the faith so that it presents itself that way.

Any combo works for me.
microaggressions leading to nano-offenses....
Throwing everyone into femto-furies...
Little mindedness, POSSIBLY???
... and played on strings as hemi-demi-semi-quavers.
It's a silly non-issue.
Two worthless subjects in one article.
All the cups at In-&-Out Hamburgers have a Bible verse on them. And they’re doing very well. As is Chick Fil A.
Great idea...from now on every restaurant will get my name as [Merry Christmas]. When my order is read, everybody will hear Merry Christmas...hahaha
And I was born a Hindu, but married a Christian.
This does, painfully, look like Donald at least TRYING to be helpful, which is fine, but he’s doing it in a lostly manner.
I frankly expect someone like Franklin Graham would dub this a non issue. Far worse is wickedness at a level that threatens to overwhelm us all.
During their “let’s talk about race” fiasco I was seriously thinking of walking into a Starschmucks to see if they would scribble that inane message on my cup. I would’ve nonchalantly (and as straight faced as I possibly could) say something like, “you know I’ve been rethinking the whole abortion thing, and maybe Margaret Sanger was on to something. Perhaps there should be abortion, birth control and sterilization clinics lining every MLK Blvd n the US, as well as along the Mexican border and in the basement of every single mosque” The re-actions from those pasty-faced barristas would’ve been PRICELESS!
If some dared, there would be feedback up the line “What do you mean, volunteering us like this to be counselors. Bartenders do that. Baristas do not!”
But, no...the RNC would rather have some combination of squishy centrists and far-leftists.
not impressed. Starbucks is a known leftist run company. Their actions towards Christmas is not a surprise.
Never been in one but miss their java chip ice cream.
You are far to kind to the Donald. It's a silly non-issue that's not beneath him to use to manipulate folks for his gain.
Cruz,VP. Col West, Secy of Defense
He still has a superficial idea of what it means to be Christian.
