[Cruz] made the clear point that illegal immigration is an economic issue and is the cause for lower-skill wages being depressed. If illegals are an economic/wages issue, it follows that the situation cannot be corrected by leaving them in place.
The clear inference is a policy of deportation -- initially, the encouragement of self-deportation.
