The two Republican presidential debates on the Fox Business Network are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST tonight. They are being held at the Milwaukee Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The 'kiddie table'at 7 p.m.: Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
The main event at 9 p.m.: Donald Trump of New York, Dr. Ben Carson of Florida, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina of California, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
FBN described the debates and moderators:
The first debate will be one hour in length and moderated by FBN anchors Trish Regan, Sandra Smith & WSJ's Washington Bureau Chief Gerald Seib.
The second debate will span two hours and be moderated by FBN anchors Maria Bartiromo, Neil Cavuto and WSJ Editor-in-Chief Gerard Baker.
The debates will focus on the most important business and economic issues facing the United States including job creation, social security and taxes.
FioRINO, a failed CEO, showed by her interruptions why she failed at leadership. Trump, a successful CEO, and G-d willing, the next POTUS, listened to his cabinet, decided if and when he needed to add something, and let the “board” argue among themselves until he made his decision and summed up the conclusions.
That’s the difference between a losing horse, and the winner of the race.
Trump said it himself during the debate that any of the tax plans of all candidates are far superior to the mess we have now.
Taxes based on Gross Sales is the great equalizer. It will help small businesses the most. Because they have less waste and therefore less deductions in current system. Large businesses have so many deductions, they get away paying less taxes. Of course the tax rate for each business will be based on the type of industry they are in. Profit margins are different for different businesses.
For example retailing has the smallest of margins usually.
Not if they (the small businesses) get killed in their first few years by paying income tax on Gross Receipts. It is VERY common for expenses (even with depreciation not allowing for full expensing of some costs for many years) to exceed Gross Receipts in the 1st year or 2. Then add taxation on Gross Receipts? Crash and burn...
That would be three of his children and their spouses. Hope he wins the nom and the WH. But if he should not, hope he starts his own media channel to take the place of what we thought FoxNews was.
TRUMP 2016!
Are you promoting a sales tax or an income tax based on Gross Receipts?
(Lord, I need to go to sleep...)
Hahaha EVERY candidate has called for border security. Name me ONE who is against border security? So how is Cruz different on border security?
Please find me the words [I WILL DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS] on Cruz^s web-site. I am having heck of a time finding those words on his web-site https://www.tedcruz.org/
Construction and the trades are fantastic jobs. There are two career waitresses in my family and they do better in a boom economy. Two of my aunts are full-time housekeepers.
One of the housekeeper aunts owns her own farm and two paid-off vehicles. One of the waitress aunts has tens of thousands on her 401K, owns two homes, rents one, and has two paid off cars. Plus a rainy day fund.
There’s nothing wrong with hard work and you can do quite well with those jobs - in a boom economy.
(I should probably also mention that I have a cousin who’s a plumber who makes six figures - take home. An uncle who’s a welder who does just as well.)
In a bad economy, it’s difficult for young people to get started in the trades.
“Whatâs with Carlys outfit? Did she join StarFleet?”
Yes. She is “Odo” - the shape shifting Changeling in charge of security for Deep Debt Kein!
Odo wages a never-ending war on Quarkich - the Ohio con artist, whose daddy was an alien mailman
For businesses——Sales tax only. No income tax.
Eliminates accountants by the thousands.
For individuals-—income based tax with no deductions, just a simple individual exemption for each family member. So if you make $80k, for a family of 4, you subtract $10k for each, so your AGI is $40k. If you are in 10% bracket you send $4000 and be done with it.
At least one poster here has said Kerry already offered TPP to China. If true, it would seem to me that is the back door Trump referred to...
Cruz has backed up Trump on illegals since last July. Consistently.
THAT I would support. :-)
“Itâs possible that Kasich would take a swing at anyone, who wonât let him monopolize the joint!”
Yeah - he’ll clock ‘em with his daddy’s mailbag!
No, his degree is in Finance. Somewhat different. Finance has more to do with how to structure deals, including what financial instruments lenders/borrowers can use, the tax implications and the law. Economics has more to do with behavior of markets and resources, as well as the effects of macro regulations.
I see what you did there! :-)
Chatty Cathy = Rubio
Oh, that was my comment about how Megyn looked last time, not Trump’s. :-)
WOW what a great poetic post!
I gathered that from Cruz tonight. But I still want to hear the words [DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS]. And I am OK allowing the good ones, as determined by us, who can come back, LEGALLY.
He is not an economist. His studies were in finance. Two different things. Know what you're talking about before deploying bombast.
