Probably one of the sanest ideas so far and yet so many have to complains and mock it because it's what they do - all without thinking.

If it's designed for only one person, who the hell cares what gender uses it? I've used "Women's" restrooms when the door designated "Men" was locked and I couldn't wait and I've seen women do the same the other way around. Actually, more single-user rooms with no designation is the second sanest way to go (the sanest way is to just recognize two sexes based on chromosomes/genitals and to accede that there are a few who have messes up chromosome/physical traits).

So when the plumber does work at the house and asks the lady of the house permission to use the bathroom, the thought of all those alien cooties must drive her up the wall. Unisex bathrooms must be aggravating, too.
