(CNN)Black football players at the University of Missouri have joined calls demanding the ouster of the president of the state's four-campus university system over alleged inaction against racism on campus.
About 30 players made their thoughts known Saturday night in a tweet posted by Missouri's Legion of Black Collegians.
"The athletes of color on the University of Missouri football team truly believe "Injustice Anywhere is a threat to Justice Everywhere," read the tweet. "We will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns or is removed due to his negligence toward marginalized students' experience."
The players' move is the latest salvo in a spiraling debate over the experiences of African-American students at Missouri, who have complained of inaction on the part of school leaders in dealing with racism on the overwhelmingly white campus.

Breach of contract. Scholarship cancelled.
Arrogant, entitle football players with low IQs, the ones least qualified, want to be the ones deciding on who should be the university president. If the university does cave, then there will be no end to their demands. They also want to set the percentage of black faculty, etc.
I hope they enjoy taking real classes. I’ve heard that Chemistry and Calculus are a bit more challenging than “Ginger or Mary Ann; The Sociological Implications Gilligan’s Island.”
They will cave, they always do.
A real catch 22 for Libs, good luck with that. BUUUUUUWAAAAAHAHAHAH!!!
All of this is orchestrated by the WH and by the BLM. Universities and colleges are the next target, and black athletes are going to demand they get paid for playing.
Short term problem.
Missouri has been around a long time before this coach and current
agitators. And Missouri will be around long after this coach and agitators
are gone.
Fire the coach. Cancel the agitators contract. And start over. Then file
civil action against the coach and agitators for recoupment of expenses
Missouri has paid for housing, feeding and tuition of thes agitators.
You cannot allow the inmates run the prison. Especially since the President
had no involvement.
Heh heh heh.
Excellent suggestion.
CRA = Critical Race Theory...mistyped the first time
I agree. Good advice.
That would hurt the women’s programs equally. Title 9 requires parity in the number of scholarships offered. A football team is by far the largest single distributor of athletic scholarships on a campus. If the school lost football, they would likely have to disband four or five women’s teams to comply with Totle 9.
Or maybe Title 9
Ok bye. Coach can pack up too.
We're not talking right or wrong, we're talking big business. The tens of millions of dollars the football program brings in. The millions that alumni donate to the university. The consequences of walking away from the SEC and Division I sports. When the inmates bring in that kind of green then they're going to win every time.
If I was the President I would make them aware of the fact that their scholarships constitute around $35,000 a year in tuition room and board and they lose them the day they decide not to play football. The coach would be fired yesterday when he sided with students over administration.
Not one of them is irreplaceable at least 25% are replaced every year. I am certain that those that didn’t make the team and are not benefiting from scholarships would be happy to replace those that are for the remainder of this losing season.
They could offer the scholarships to male students in other sports.
I think this could be turned into something fun. Replace every player with Illegal Alien Mexicans.
At the first game, offer free tacos to everyone. Heck, taco ingredients are inexpensive and the labor to make them would be cheap too.
Put up signs everywhere at the stadium forbidding fried chicken and watermelon.
All of this cry me a river attention seeking racist crap needs to stop....one way or the other.
I would certainly send them and their families a full bill for this semesters tuition the very first practice that they missed.
14 million dollars per year....which quickly won't seem worth it
