Family Research Council president Tony Perkins has been broadcasting his “Washington Watch” radio program from Israel this week, where he is helping to lead an FRC tour group. Also on the tour is former Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who joined Perkins on the program on Wednesday to share her view that biblical prophecy is being fulfilled all around her and that it was more urgent than ever to convert as many people as possible — including Jews — to Christianity to prepare for the imminent return of Christ.

“Almost every article in the paper” has to do with conflicts in Israel, Bachmann said, “and it ties with so much biblical prophecy. This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways. And we’re seeing as events are speeding up, events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we’re reading our newspaper, at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.”

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” she said, “and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”

I do believe in the 10 commandments, as a roadside barrier.
Life can be lived well and progress within them towards God, but will not be made perfect in them as all have failed.

I know many Christians believe they are liberated from the law in Christ.. I believe we are liberated from our sins in Christ..But the law represents the boundaries..it is obvious that a world that does not obey the law cannot be Heaven..
But these laws become written on our hearts as we no longer wish to suffer from the reactions of our misdeeds. This can only be done in Christ, when we humble ourselves. It is in Him we become one in God, and become Children. God creates many relationships as he creates to enjoy His creations.

The problems between our peoples have historically come about when we stick with our faith and frustrate your attempts to convert us. That frustration has led to much misery and many massacres over the last 2000 years, and it is the cause of our desire to simply be left alone. Since we, ourselves, wish to be free to practice our faith, common decency and respect demands that we give you or the people of any other faith the same consideration, so long as we are left alone as part of your or their faith. As for there being no Temple, any parent will punish his or her children for misbehaving. However, in the end the parent will forgive the child, particularly if the child meets the parent at least part of the way. This particular Parent has explicitly promised just that kind of forgiveness for His people, and prophets from LONG before the life of my cousin the carpenter predicted both the second dispersion of the Jews, and the ultimate redemption much later in history. The concept of a spiritual afterlife is a man-made Christian and Muslim belief, and doesn't exist in Judaism.
