Mob hitman who says he was the man on the grassy knoll and killed JFK to be released - and he still insists he did it

A man who claims he assassinated President John F. Kennedy has been moved this week from a high security jail to a less secure one in Illinois in preparation for his release next spring after 36 years behind bars.

James Files, 72, says that he was the man on the grassy knoll back on November 22, 1963, and that he fired the bullet into Kennedy's head that ultimately killed him.

Now, the CIA and other US secret agencies are preparing for scores of conspiracy theories as Files identifies himself yet again as the missing piece of the Kennedy story.

I’m 56, I was 3 going on 4 i guess; but still have a memory of all the neighbor women coming over to watch on our TV. Even remember what I was sitting on to keep me out of the way. The only solid memory I have of that house/time that I can’t say was influenced by family pictures etc.

Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman who shot Kennedy.

And you will soon get your $2,500 rebate under ObamaCare.

Could it be that the head ‘appears’ to be reacting to the forward movement of the car? I don’t believe/recall that the car was stopped and as such all factors of movement eg. car, Kennedy’s own, the impact of the bullet, etc, have to be put together to get the complete kinetic interactions.

“Ah yes, but who put him up to it?”

The very same guy who told Oswald to murder Officer JD Tippit less than an hour later, in front of a dozen witnesses.

In both cases the mystery man was a leftwing radical named Lee Harvey Oswald.

“Isn’t part of the Warren Commission investigation still secret? “

It’s undoubtedly parts dealing with Kennedy’s girlfriends and drug use. Things that would have been highly embarrassing to the family at the time.

This stuff is widely known now but none of it made it into the press until many years later.

Is that clip from the Zapruder film? They must have taken that portion out when it was first released because I sure don’t remember seeing the head shot that clearly. Very disturbing even after all these years.

“And how does he explain: 1) Oswald’s prints on the gun; 2) the fact that Oswald bought the gun, mail order; 3) Oswald’s presence in the Book Depository that day; 4) Oswald’s murder of Officer Tippitt within the hour following; 5) Oswald’s prior attempt to kill Gen. Walker in Dallas.”

All those points have been disputed by testimony of witnesses who have been shown in TV documentaries. No. 3 is meaningless anyway, Oswald worked at the book depository, his presence there would raise no more suspicion than the presence of any other person who worked there. I’m with you on the Ruby story, I don’t believe for one second that he killed Oswald for any other reason than that he was bullied into it. I have seen the testimony of the LEO who said that Ruby was extremely nervous until he was told that Oswald was pronounced dead and then he immediately relaxed and asked for a cigarette. I think he was given no choice but to shoot Oswald and not just shoot him but to kill him.

I think those who accept the Warren commission report without question simply are not able to come to grips with just how corrupt our national government is and has been for so long. My first question is who could possibly believe that a real effort was made to protect JFK on that day? What sort of professional security people allow a president to ride in an open car in a slow moving procession past tall buildings with open windows and then tell a secret service man to step away from the car? Whatever happened, whether or not Files was involved, the truth is not in the Warren report.

I missed that one but it is plain that Jackie was on the side of the car AWAY FROM the grassy knoll and JFK was on the side TOWARD the grassy knoll so the idea that a bullet would have hit Jackie FIRST is patently ridiculous, I find it hard to believe someone would even attempt to sell that line. Why not just say that trolls hiding under the overpass did it.

You could have also asked why the president was allowed to ride in an open vehicle in a slow moving procession in front of tall buildings with open windows and a secret service agent was told to move AWAY FROM the car. One thing no one can possibly dispute unless they are insane is that no one was really protecting the president of the United States of America that day in Dallas. As to the reason I can only guess but the fact is obvious.

“Sounds plausible, but no idea if it is grounded in fact.”

Have you seen the video where the Texas LEO said that Ruby was extremely nervous until assured that Oswald had been pronounced DEAD whereupon he immediately relaxed and asked for a cigarette as if a huge load had been lifted?

Not sure about smarts. That’s the thing about DC - people confuse cowardice with stupidity. My 12 year old can see what happened plain as day. As soon as someone pressures someone else to fudge the results of the investigation, the results are distorted to the point where the casual observer comments, “Only an idiot can come to this conclusion.”

Turns out it isn’t just idiots that are OK with ridiculous conclusions. People scared out of their wits, or paid off, are fine with it too.

Orrin Hatch? I’m convinced he was given a lifetime sinecure for abetting the Warren Commission circus. I think it was Hatch. I might be confusing him with the guy who jumped ship from PA (Senator, piece of filth).

Funny that you should mention that overpass.....

The documentary considered the possibility that there was a shooter on top of the overpass, but then discounted the idea.

I think the makers of the documentary were trying to make the case that a round fired from the grassy knoll would have killed both JFK and Jackie Kennedy as well. Maybe it’s another “magic bullet” theory.

Is that a Gatling gun?
Yep. Maybe a repro. I always get a twinge when I see one, as back in the late '50s I could have bought one for $150 (wheeled mount another $150) from Bannermans. Alas, I lived in an apartment then and had no room. "

. . . sheriff’s initially reported the weapon as a Mauser and not a Carcano. Probably an error due to unfamiliarity with foreign guns - everything was a German Mauser. I remember hearing a radio report of the shooting and the reporter said it was "a 30-30".

however you don’t just decide one day you are going to whack out the POTUS and then do it.

well maybe you do if you find out the President's motorcade will be passing in front of your workplace. It did not take a whole lot of planning for Oswald to carry out that murder .. and he got caught so he didn't plan it that well.

This is the salient point with which all should come away.

JFK’s death was set up by the most powerful forces in the world, and the motive was strictly his monetary policies.

I guess that after 36 years in prison he’s afraid of facing life on the outside... can’t say as I blame him. Maybe he hopes they’ll just keep him so he doesn’t have to worry about his three hots and a cot.
