November 6, 2015: GOP Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson addressed the media this evening on the alleged false claims he made in his book, "Gifted Hands", including that he received a full scholarship offer to West Point and that he allegedly tried to stab a friend and hit his mother with a hammer.

You are an idiot. Did you listen to the presser or did you read the excerpt in his book referring to the offer? On Rush Limbaugh's show today, there was a WP graduate who was in the Academy at roughly the same time that Carson received the offer. He said that it was quite plausible given the USMA's efforts to recruit more minorities.

Why would Carson make this up?

However, there’s no such thing as an “informal offer” (or even a “full scholarhip”): an application to West Point begins with a nomination by a member of Congress or another prominent government or military official, Ben,and don’t you know that only a Democrat like Hillary can get out of one lie by telling another lie, but that never works for a Republican? It’s part of the double standard imposed by the Democrat-PAC Media.

Oh and you don’t suppose Donald’s hand is on the invisible sword that’s hacking Carson to pieces right now, do you? Trump didn’t get rich by wasting money unnecessarily: hoisting Carson on his own petard and letting the media crucify him for free is WAY cheaper than paying for a bunch of TV ads. (BTW, we haven’t seen the end of the Carson Revelations yet. I predict there’s more to come.)

And it’s pretty clear the Democrat Super-PAC media were building up Carson and Fiorina as GOP heroes, hoping they’d be juicy targets down the road to chop to pieces like they did with Herman Caine, etc. Looks like Trump is beating them to the punch before media-heroes Carson and Fiorina could do much damage to the GOP with their lies and wackiness.

You are the first to mention what I was thinking. It was 1969 and Carson was a smart kid from inner city Detroit who was going to be accepted to Yale and in ROTC. He mentioned speaking with Gen Westmoreland (the time and place of this meeting has been proved, Carson was given the honor as top ROTC student in Detroit) and that Gen Westmoreland and others from West Point mentioned to him that he would be a great candidate and it would be “easy” for him to get into West Point and what was offered was a “full scholarship” — as a kid would understand it was “free”. And here’s what you mention— he is obviously a black man, and in 1969 they were looking for obviously talented black candidates for West Point. Carson says he never pursued West Point and he has always said he was only going to apply to one school — Yale or Harvard. He chose Yale because they beat Harvard in some contest. He had moved on from even considering West Point and had the money to apply to one school, so Yale it was. In an interview I saw a long time ago before he was ever a candidate he said he only applied to Yale and laughed about the fact that even though he had the stats and got in, he didn’t realize how hard it was to get into Yale and had put all of his eggs in one basket. I think I saw this on one of the Discovery channels specials, made years ago, highlighting the surgeons career and showing him doing actual brain surgery and explaining it as he went along.

Whoa!! Hold on one second! I’ll agree with you this man may not be a conservative but you cannot and can never question this man’s accomplishments. While I have accomplished much in my life I could only dream to accomplish what this man has. To even go as far as questioning the surgical accomplishments under the veil of him only being black is so blantently inaccurate and quite frankly a smear.

As to whether POTUS isn’t an ego contest. BS, that is all it is, the largest ego contest world wide. To step into the position one must have a larger ego and a chip to even consider the position.
