Yes, we have to be aware of terrorism and extremists. But there are some amazing things to see in Muslim and Arab lands. My own brother and his wife are of (again) to Egypt in January. Are they worried?. No.
If we were worried about violence, we’d never leave our home. The IRA never stopped me travelling to and even working in England and NI. AQ and ISIS wont stop me travelling to N Africa or Egypt or Israel.
“Rescue flights”? Artillery raining down on the beach there?
What an opportunity for Israel. Bus them to Ben Gurion and fly them home.
Lessee...slaughtered goats hanging by the side of the road covered with flies in the summer sun, raw sewage in the Alexandria bay, trash covered beaches with locals sunbathing in piles of trash that wash up...the stench of raw sewage in the summer sun...yeah, amazing!
Yes, I have been to Egypt and N Africa and have seen poverty, met hawkers, and seen/smelled some pretty unclean and gross things. I have also seen some amazing sights, great beauty and met friendly people.
I am sure both our countries have bits you and I would rather keep hidden.
Can't fix stupid. The Luxor massacre should have been THE wake up call. But I'm sure the dumb Euros will be back in a year or so if they haven't been conquered yet.
