On The Laura Ingraham Show, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) refused to say whether he supports curbing immigration levels. Jordan cited concerns of employers that the United States may need more workers because too many Americans are on drugs.
âI hear from all kinds of employers, they say they canât find people to work,â Jordan said, âAnd one of the reasons they cite⦠is that thereâs a number of people who canât pass the drug screen.â

Jordan represents towns which are just south of the east side of Cleveland, most of which have avoided the spread of chaos. The heroin epidemic is substantial.

Ohio Ping
This vote tomorrow in Ohio is another scam just like the gambling vote a few years ago. They craft the legislation to obscure the real intent so that people are confused. Not to mention the ads they are running are propaganda.
Vote NO on issue 3

What a joke....like the illegals don’t use and carry drugs.
I hope that parents from all walks of life are aware of the poison that’s all around their children. This drug is in every community across the country. It was never in the suburbs like it is today. Most suburban kids didn’t even know a person who took the drug. I can’t believe nobody is connecting the dots between open borders and the huge drug supply into this country.
Perhaps Jordan is adrunk like Johnny Bonehead.. He definitely an idiot
Pick up the phone. Alex needs to chat
Thanks for the concrete input.
There’s something further Jordan is not saying (or doesn’t dare say): it isn’t just about illegal drugs. People (especially women) on prescribed antidepressant drugs are virtually unemployable. The antisocial behavior and lack of work ethic that comes along with the drugs’ supposedly positive effects renders users unfit for many jobs.
No, he has a valid point....just take a look at the obama voters. No biz would ever hire those losers. Or watch Waters World for more proof. With rare exceptions most college kids are borderline worthless. Very few have any sense of work ethics.
Now throw in union trash and there ya go...
I live in one of these small OH towns that are so fed up-with local, county, and state shenanigans that it's an absolute necessity to distrust the motives of ALL elected and appointed officials.
The consensus of people I speak to is that it's a real sloppy law which (like the casino mess) is a pre-emptive grab by the elite for monopoly and profit. A responsible law worthy of consideration for those who want legalization would be a measured process for medical marijuana only.
I really hope this law doesn't pass. It a disaster-in-waiting.
I don’t know and I don’t care. I’m just stating a fact, that Jordan is right. MANY blue collar workers cannot pass the drug tests. That’s a separate issue from immigration, but is absolutely true.
If companies have drug tests, I wonder the impact on insurance premiums over companies that don’t drug test.
Does the Government mandate that companies drug test, or is that the choice of the companies themselves.
Unless it’s mandated by the government, it is not Fascism.
That makes sense. I once heard a talk show host (the name escapes me at the moment) say that most of the people in congress are on drugs; both legal and illegal.
All hacks should be required to wear body cams as well.
Amazing. What is your evidence for that other than some anecdote? And do you believe drug use is more prevalent among blue collar workers than it is among white collar workers?
Finally, as I recall, you are a professor. What do you think the rate of drug use would be among college professors if they had to take routine drug tests before lecturing to students? Do you think the rate would be higher or lower than among blue collar workers?
Jordan is from Ohio. Ohio is considering a relatively unrestricted marijuana bill on tomorrow’s ballot. If it passes it will wreak havoc on Ohio’s work force. I believe Jordan may have made his statement with that in mind.
Honestly, at the university level, the people I know, very low drug use. Would be easier to explain their ideology if their drug use was higher.
Michael Savage has said this more than a few times
I have no idea where the 99 weeks of unemployment thing comes from. My daughter was laid off and she gets 16 weeks of unemployment - then she’s cut off. She is a single mom with a baby and does NOT qualify for housing, food stamps, help with child care, or WIC. (Right now, the $950 a month in unemployment puts her over the line for benefits)
After paying tens of thousands into the system, I want to know who in the hell is getting all of these ‘breaks’?
Because it’s not my family.
