On The Laura Ingraham Show, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) refused to say whether he supports curbing immigration levels. Jordan cited concerns of employers that the United States may need more workers because too many Americans are on drugs.
âI hear from all kinds of employers, they say they canât find people to work,â Jordan said, âAnd one of the reasons they cite⦠is that thereâs a number of people who canât pass the drug screen.â

Perhaps “Jumpin” Jim Jordan would be more appropriate?
I have no idea of current conditions as I’m no longer a hiring manager. I went through it in the early 90s where I sent 5 promising people for a pee test and all came back hot. I finally got one to pass the test but I was feeling jinxed during that run.
I do consult with people doing hiring now and I’ve had spotty reports of difficulty hiring due to hot pee tests. I wouldn’t call it an epidemic, though.
House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) i.e. Free Traitor. Unfortunately there are a bevy of Freepers that probably agree with him.
Pay more then you will get a better quality of candidate. This isn't rock surgery.
Gotta remember this factoid when someone comes around colorfully flashing ACU ratings in our faces on behalf of (or conversely, against) this candidate or that.
Grains of salt are badly needed and very hard to get.
This could be because criminaliens have not yet established a documented history of drug use, as least as much as citizens.
The political war has moved to a new battle field. The war is now between Americans and gloBULLists. The war of Conservative vs liberal isn’t relevant anymore.
Just the way the liberal base wants them to be....(control)
True, those who earn more are willing to run a stricter gantlet in order to get the work. This is one reason I wonder why rank and file police salaries are so relatively little. Double that, and now you can support character examination out the whatsis, at least if the unions will allow it (which might stymie such a plan). Salary costs are not the biggest costs in PDs.
Cut off welfare to able bodied Americans and let’s see. Us armed citizens won’t have a problem.
My brother in law was a manager at Forcia and he said they were CONSTANTLY having problems with assembly line guys who were high. He said they routinely failed the drug screens.
I don't think this is in any way as much a defense of more immigrants as it is an indictment of our blue-collar workforce.
Man is unfit for office. Every POTUS candidate should go in record as affirming or disagreeing with this postion stated by Jordan.
Happens a LOT in manufacturing.
Drug test them and reduce welfare benefits if they get fired for drugs. Give them a few chances.
Tough love.
“The war of Conservative vs liberal isnât relevant anymore.”
Completely agree. Although Trump is running on conservative issues, people will still say he in not a “true” conservative.
If his issues don’t win, conservatism is dead, along with the country.
America is being turned from a country into a corporation by whores like this in DC.
MAybe welfare is too good of a deal.
+1.
And if we have to rely on third world “coolies” to support our economy then their is something wrong with our economic system.
I am really p.o.ed that Boehner smoked INSIDE his office. Congresscritters are above the rules that apply to us little people.
