The word didnât get out fast enough to some scientists that their data needed âadjustment,â and somehow the following made it past the peer reviewers. From the Christian Science Monitor:
In a paper published in the Journal of Glaciology on Friday, researchers from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the University of Maryland in College Park, and the engineering firm Sigma Space Corporation offer a new analysis of satellite data that show a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001 in the Antarctic ice sheet.
That gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008. (snip)

Al Gore is Deeply Saddened.
Not sure if Vladimir Putin truly believes that Man Made Global Warming is a complete farce as he has said or because deBummer is all in for it.
Which one do you trust?
Now they have Bill Gates convinced that AGW is a correctable climate change opportunity.
Sigh.
See post #15 of this thread on that thought. :>}
Maybe he should consider ending his own “free enterprise” (if he’s even involved anymore) and shut down any and all plants associated with what he made. That would contribute to ending climate change as he KNOWS it. They NEVER see the hypocrisy of their own actions.
if the Anarctic Cap get too heavy and the Artic ice keeps melting at alarming rates the whole planet might tip over soon!!!!!!
< extreme dummycrat mode off >
If the Antarctic ice cap is shrinking, that is also predicted by "global warming" and proves that it's happening and is a major threat.
"The only way you win is to avoid playing the game."
Liberal explanation: The big gains are clearly the legacy of AlGore's superb environmental stewardship during the Clinton administration. Then it is obvious how in 2003-2008 the evil George W. Bush presidency and in particular the Iraq war have caused a dramatic 25% decline in ice (using the liberal logic that a reduction in growth rate is a cut), deliberately done to damage the saintly AlGore's legacy.
At this point and time Putin seems to have a better track record of doing what he says he will do.
Oh no, it’s already adjusted. Didn’t you read? “That gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008.”
It slowed!!!! Must be global warming! (Never mind the fact that it’s a GAIN we are talking about “slowing”. )
It kinda reminds me of Washington’s idea of “budget cuts”: we cut the rate of spending increase from 5 to 1%! Aren’t we great?”
Yeahhhh, riiiiight....
