Take care. Thank you.
It's been a while since the last update but there wasn't much going on, just working, getting through the chemo and the lovely side effects for the last couple months.
First off, thanks for the continued prayers!
I finished the first round of six chemo treatments three weeks ago. Lisa and I are heading out Easter Sunday on a road trip back to MD Anderson. Monday after blood work I get a CT scan, the first since after Chemo #2. Then Tuesday we'll meet with the Oncologist and talk with a surgeon to see if surgery is an option at this point.
I Think our options will be continue with the chemo, surgery and HIPEC, or some combo, or who knows what. Gods in control so we'll see what he brings.
A couple of things of note: the side effects have been rather subdued for the most part except for on day 9 or 10 after chemo I've been hit with gout. First go around (after chemo #3) was right foot, the chemo #4 was left foot (a really nasty flare up), then #5 my left wrist (That was bad), then after #6 both middle toes, but had a dose of prednisone on hand (finally learned) that nipped it in the bud before it got nasty. So it's been a pain free last three weeks.
And today I went in to get my gut drained (it's been a month since the last time.) and the Doc kicked me out because there wasn't much in there! So the chemo has been working. Just before the second chemo I got 5 liters of fluid drained off (3 weeks accumulation) now its no drainage needed after a month. So I look at that as great news! The last drain was 4.5 liters after 5 weeks. So it looks like the weight I gained is real body mass and not just cancer infused green/brown liquid.
So Prayers for safe travel and good news from MD next week!
Thank you all again for your prayers!
PS. Helicopter pig hunt this Saturday! There will be video!
