Hi All,

It's been about three weeks since I posted but it's has been somewhat uneventful since chemo day #1. That being said, my body did do some strange things during that time. Today I did get another 5 liters drained off my abdomen, which feels great, another 11 pound drop in weight, so I weighted in at 169 lbs when I got home, so I've gained back 2 lbs from the first time. It's a start.

Looking back at the wreckage trail that followed Chemo #1, the first couple of days were fine, then there was about three days of gut pain that was not too pleasant (i've got some pain meds now, tried it out yesterday and they work fine and didn't turn me into a zombie, so I should be able to work if the pain comes back on #2. After that was 2-3 days of fatigue where I couldn't hardly get off the couch, but I hit the juicer (why not earlier, I don't know, brain fart I guess) and that pulled me out of it, or it just ran its course, we shall see.

After that just some short term weirdness happened, my scalp became hyper sensitive, probably the chemo killing my hair cells (its still all here), then a few days where my gut, butt, and back of my thighs itched like crazy in the evening, (shower and lotion fixed that), then my face broke out like I was a 13 year old pizza faced teenager for a few days. Now I'm back to the new normal, whatever that is.

Chemo day #2 in on Wednesday.

The below picture is a bracelet I got from my son, whose Pastor lost a long brave fight to cancer last year. It's on a blog he set up at the request of Lisa to keep our friends at our new and old (I should say Texas and Petaluma churches updated on whats going on.)

Anyway, My dad called me last night and spilled the beans (I think it was supposed to be a surprise, so don't tell anybody) about what happened at our Petaluma Church yesterday. This absolutely brought tears to my eyes (and Lisa's) when I told her. We went to the 9:00 am service when we were in CA. My Best friend back there bought a couple hundred of the bracelets and in cahoots with Pastor Tom, passed them out during the service, said, some prayers, had the entire congregation come down front, hold their arms up and yelled,

"GOD'S GOT THIS!!!"

and they video taped it. I'm falling apart just writing this. So I think in the not too distant future, that video will show up in Texas someway for us. I still can't fathom the love and support that's flowing our way. It's 100% God thing. We just feel so blessed, it's like the cancer thing is secondary. Which, I guess it is.

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!

Jeff and Lisa
