Alexandria, VA - A new survey conducted by Vox Populi Polling amongst likely Kentucky voters found that the three-way race for Kentucky Governor remains tight and will likely come down to voter turnout.
Top Numbers:
Matt Bevin: 44% Jack Conway: 44% Drew Curtis: 6% (moe: +/- 3.9%)
While the survey shows this is an exceptionally close race, Republican candidate Matt Bevin narrowly edges Democrat candidate Jack Conway 46-43 percent among self-reported Kentucky voters who say they will definitely head to the polls on Tuesday. Both candidates have an equal 79 percent share of their respective parties, but Bevin has a ten point advantage with Kentucky independents (38-28). Independent Drew Curtis is taking votes away from both candidates, but he is only slightly hurting Bevin's numbers, with 43 percent of Curtis voters admitting they would vote for Bevin in a two-way race in comparison.

Me and my hubby will be voting for Bevin! Go Matt Go!
Will be voting for Bevin.
Will not be surprised if Conway wins given who Mitch McConnell’s team has been helping out Conway.
Heck, even in Conway’s ads - McConnell’s own biographer David Dyche says that McConnell doesnât want Bevin to win.
After all, it WAS McConnell who said that we Conservatives need to be “punched in the nose”.
Helping the Democrat win seems SOP for McConnell.
If there was a real Republican party, all the Republican Presidential candidates would be there helping out!
Well, this is an off year election, which tends to see a bigger GOP turnout in many places. For whatever reason, the liberals have trouble getting their voters to the polls when there’s not a presidential election happening.
Get Trump to stump for him.
The election on Tuesday probably does rate high in the minds of some like the RNC who are talking tough after the debate debacle the other night.
If Bevin wins, he wins and that may happen in KY on Tuesday.
Its sad that Matt involved himself in removing symbols like the statue after the insane person murdered people in the church earlier this year.
Political correctness is not a plus for any Republican candidate and only has the potential to hurt them with grassroots voters keeping them home.
If that’s the case, let’s give the Senate Majority Leader a surprise and get out the vote for Matt Bevin! I think he would be a HUGE improvement over the current governor and certainly lightyears better than that loser Conway.
As this poll shows, I think the KY gov race is very close and the latest Bluegrass Poll (that showed Conway leading by 5) seems a little suspect to me because they showed such strong pro-Dem movement in the down-ballot races that I couldn’t help but wonder if they undersampled conservatives. I think this race can go either way so GET OUT THE VOTE!
The GOP candidates should definitely be helping Matt Bevin. Imagine the boost that someone like Mr. Trump or Dr. Carson or Senator Cruz could give!
I will say that it is AMAZING the total silence of the GOP Party both national and State in Bevin’s campaign.
It remains to be seen if the Yellow Dogs and their secret help from McConnell will put their Obama Acolyte into the Governor’s Mansion.
Grassroots is on our own out here. The ads that “Kentucky Family Values” is running non-stop with two old men talking the same anti-Bevin talking-point crap that McConnell flung at Bevin 2 years ago and it is infuriating.
I heard my first and only Bevin ad just this afternoon.
Locals in my area consider Bevin an ‘outsider’ and do not intend to vote for him. And these are the people who voted for Rand Paul.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out on Tuesday.
hoping bevin pulls it off. larry sabato has the ky race as lean dem and vitter race as lean gop/tossup.
Fortunately, I’ve heard that Bevin has an advantage in the TV ad wars in the closing days of the campaign. So you should be seeing more ads soon. Sorry to hear that more don’t want to vote for Bevin, which is probably why the race is so close. Hopefully, some heavy hitters like Ted Cruz or someone will endorse him in the waning days of the campaign.
I hope so too. Larry Sabato I think is basing it mainly on polls. I hope that Tea Party support will help carry Bevin across the finish line.
Heck bring the whole dang herd there!!!
Me too, come on Kentucky.
I’m certain that if he DOESN’T win freepers will unfairly blame it on the Great Satan aka Mitch McConnell who MUST be “secretly backing the dems” and that would really piss me off.
Bevin claims that his internals now show him narrowly leading Conway:
"With a simple check of the box we can remove from the political landscape of Kentucky forever all of the Conways, all of the Lundergans, and all of the Beshears in one fell swoop,"
I doubt they'd be gone "forever" but F yes!!!!
I would be quite shocked if Bevin wins: if he is seen as an “outsider”, Kentuckians won’t want him. It is an insiders’ state.
If Bevin blows it, he will have no one to blame but himself. And coming out for “medical marijuana”? Really? It’s a recreational drug that medical associations have found has no medical qualities but can cause great damage, but potheads push that “medical” crap as a Trojan horse for eventual legalization. Where does he get his information, from the liner notes of an old Cypress Hill CD? Way to motivate conservative voters there, Bevin. I always suspected that he was a Paulistinian; I hope that it’s not the case and he’s merely stupid. And I hope that KY voters overlook his flaws and elect him anyhow, since Conway is a liberal douchebag that could use the governorship as a stepping stone to the U.S. Senate or maybe even the White House.
