The reason that he is against “global warming” is that if all are subscribing to the mainstream idea about global warming they would ban oil, and that would hurt Russia as it is an oil producer.

The reason that I am against the “global warming” is that it it can not be proved, i.e it is not scientific. This means that we have the same opinion, but for different reasons.

It's right there in the article. You want to put some other spin on it - any article proving otherwise?

As you know in Russia any argument is used, if it is true or not is of no importance. In this case it is correct, i.e. the “global warming” is exaggerated. But, the reason that Russia is promoting this, is described in my comment above.

I’m against global warming because

a) I have never seen it affirmatively proven
b) government action to rectify this non-problem would have catastrophic economic consequences.
