Posted on 10/29/2015 5:52:36 AM PDT by usafa92

Real estate mogul Donald Trump criticized Ohio Gov. John Kasich during Wednesday's Republican debate on CNBC for his career at the failed Wall Street firm Lehman Brothers. But Trump wasn't the only person who criticized the governor. After Kasich said he was against marijuana legalization....

Have to love Roger Stone. Saying that he fired Kasich for selling drugs during the 1976 Reagan campaign. Kasich is a goof and Trump nailed him last night. Not that Kasich was ever viable, but he's finished now. It's fun watching all these career politicians realize that their carefully planned path of successive office seeking is being obliterated by outsiders like Trump and Carson, and to some extent Ted.

It is extremely offensive to me that Kasich puts his bleeding heart tugging liberalism about Dreamers, anchor babies and illegals over my own personal right to feel safe and secure within the boundaries of our sovereign borders. He can stick all that up his butt and go home to Ohio.

He seemed jittery and weird last night. . . kept clenching and un-clenching his jaw muscles . . . kept wringing his hands . . . and yelled at every question. He seemed wired. Maybe too many Red Bulls.

Kasich needed some of that pot last night. He seemed to a bundle of nerves. His twitching, tics and pent up anger was evident to all who watched him closely while the others were watching.

The elitist manner in which he defended his record was saying, “I’m more qualified than any of you!”. At least, until Trump shut him down on the Leaman brothers comment.

I never liked him much, and he says, “at the end of the day...” Too often.

It speaks of a personality so convinced in its own truth that any attempt to unwind him from it is met with near-rabid opposition.

I once valued him as one of the Congressmen that came out of the Contract With America in the early 90s and he was a valuable addition to that cause in some ways. But he was just like all the other RINOs and he went on to bigger and better things. Now to me he seems like a bitter, rancid older man that isn’t willing to cede one bit in his pandering to power and votes. Screw him.

I can’t wait for the Presidential debate where Trump or Cruz point out that Hillary was fired from the Watergate Committee for unethical behavior. Some of the unethical behavior was removing classified documents and sharing them with people that weren’t allowed to see them.

The things I remember are Kasich’s twitchiness (he looked like he got zapped with the blimp tether), Ben’s hand wringing, & Cruz’ blistering comment about the unfairness of the hosts, Rubio besting Bush...

There is so much material to hang around Hil’s neck. Let’s just hope someone uses all of it. Too many young voters know nothing about her past.

Trump surprised everyone by being calm and presidential and only showing his shark’s teeth when he needed to. Rubio, Cruz and Christie and the rest were fighting for second place.

I'm confident that Trump will use it. Cruz might. The Soft Spoken Magic Negro won't. The others don't matter at this point.

...lied to these families on the front row other there and to the American people about a terrorist attack that killed 4 Americans all for political purpose, 6 weeks prior to a Presidential election.

Our candidate should have the Benghazi families sitting on the front row of every debate.

-- Trump surprised everyone by being calm and presidential and only showing his shark's teeth when he needed to. --

Other than blistering Kasich, which arguably he didn't need to do as well as he did.

TRUMP: First of all, John got lucky with a thing called fracking, OK? He hit oil. He got lucky with fracking. Believe me, that is why Ohio is doing well. Number -- and that is important for you to know.

Number two, this was the man that was a managing general partner at Lehman Brothers when it went down the tubes and almost took every one of us with it, including Ben and myself, because I was there and I watched what happened.

And Lehman Brothers started it all. He was on the board. And he was a managing general partner.

And just thirdly, he was so nice. He was such a nice guy. And he said, oh, I'm never going to attack. But then his poll numbers tanked. He has got -- that is why he is on the end.

(LAUGHTER) And he got nasty. And he got nasty. So you know what? You can have him.

" kept clenching and un-clenching his jaw muscles . . . kept wringing his hands . . . and yelled at every question "

Really? I didn't watch the debate my own self, choosing to peruse the live thread here at FR. Plenty of comments about Kasich and his erratic manner last nite.

What you describe, though, is exactly the description I heard from someone who would know about the way tweakers act when they need to go tweak.

Not accusing anybody mind you, just sayin'...

Trump swatted lifelong insider Kasich like a fly last night. Loved it.

IIRC Kasich and Gary Condit were BFFs back in the day.

All Trump had to do was just not mess up and he didn’t. Even Krauthammer said Trump did OK and even did himself some good. Granted he said it through gritted teeth. :-)

Hubby and I were perplexed with his body movements. Even when he wasn’t answering a question but was still in the camera’s view (as when Mike Huckabee was answering, standing next to Kasich), Kasich seemed twitchy with his body . . as if he had too much anxiety to stand quiet. Very interesting what you posted, OKSooner.

The real winner of last nights debate was Trump.

Cruz, Rubio, and Christy successfully went after the “moderators” but NEVER would have done that if Trump hadn’t first taken on the media, FOX and Meygyn.
