[history]
The highly influential Center for American Progress, which has deep ties to the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton, recently released an extensive report calling for the nation’s lead agency on gun regulation to be merged into the FBI.
The generalities of the centers 182-page report were widely covered by media upon its release last May. However, the details in the report were largely unmentioned, including by conservative media agencies.

FBI doesnt want the yahoos from f-troop. More than anything else, that is what will keep this from happening. When you're BATF, you're the bottom of the barrel.

I know it pains you that I and other evil purists have had success turning people away from the path to more GOP liberals. The fact is that we didnt. The GOP did it to itself. You were the one who first called me “an evil purist.” So this is what you call yourself? Do you mean that favorably??
From your post #40:
“You sound like an evil purist. I thought they were the problem?”

Me, too. We can put absolutely nothing past this evil man and his puppet masters.

Do the best you can, with what you have, and you will make incremental improvements that help everyone.
Correct.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” All laws and regulations on arms(not just firearms) are an infringement, and therefore unconstitutional. The purpose of the BATF is to enforce these laws and regulations. It is therefore unconstitutional. FUBATF!

The report laments that to the extent that agents have taken on trafficking cases, they have largely focused on reactive cases, meaning that they often pursue these cases after a major gun crime has been committed. "Reactive"? "Reactive"?
Why, that's just not true! Such claims are highly insulting to the agents and leadership of our beloved BATFE.
After all, they were as proactive as they could possibly have been in their approach to the gun trafficking case known as Fast and Furious...

Of course, living with tyranny for as long as we can stand it not without precedent:
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
