What gives?
It looks like this is a way to block HuffPo or DU...
I mean, we all believe they have malware, right?
Probably leftist operatives resentful of seeing the truth in print, who reported FR as an attack site.
Just got it twice on Firefox. Maybe it’s God telling me I really need to get off FR and back to work?
Google is doing the same thing (via Chrome, I guess; I switched to a different OS and different century of technology), it’s not just Firefox. Not to seem overly suspicious, I wonder who’s really behind the whole thing? And exactly how it relates to “net neutrality”? Couldn’t be the White House, could it? A month or so ago Facebook deleted my SC id without any warning.

It seems to only affect the f-chat sub-directory, not the f-news etc. That’s why it seems intermittent, if the article is posted in chat it draws a warning, in new, it doesn’t.
No problem getting on with Chrome Browser and Norton safe search.
However, I was blocked by the so called safe site, while trying to post a reply to this thread.
I haven’t received it yet. However a lot of people have and I don’t subscribe to this “oh just establish it as an accepted site in your Firefox preferences and move on” idea. We need to insist this site is removed as an attack site from Firefox.

Hey, this is lion cub. More tender and far less gamy.
Here’s what I’ve been getting after clicking “Post”...
The site ahead contains malware
Attackers currently on www.freerepublic.com might attempt to install dangerous programs on your computer that steal or delete your information (for example, photos, passwords, messages, and credit cards).

I’m suspecting foul play. I can’t access Dridge from my I-Pad. Every time I pull it up, the page flashes on the screen, it then goes white and then a black box with a circling arrow appears in the upper left corner.
Same here, I’m going to run a malware check just in case.
Avast is saying this:
“www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat is not safe to visit right now”
So it is something in the chat subforum
http://www.freerepublic.com/ IS the URL to report as a false positive. But, Jim or John may have to do that.

Am finding that soo easy to believe and I keep telling myself it's most probably just someone's screw up.
Odd.....
I dunno what is going on...but something is.
Trend Micro and Norton online checks are now reporting FR as safe.
I just searched Google on: lion cubs “free republic” and every result says something like this site may harm your computer, and clicking on a link brings up the warning.
So are “lion cubs” somehow a “keyword” for this virus/hoax or whatever is going on?
