Ben Carson has answered critics who say he lacks energy for the Republican presidential fight, saying that in contrast to his softly spoken demeanour as an adult he was “very volatile” as a teenager, when he “would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers”.

On NBC, Carson continued: “I am soft-spoken. I do have a tendency to be relaxed. I wasn’t always like that. There was a time when I was, you know, very volatile. But, you know, I changed.
“As a teenager, I would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers. And, of course, many people know the story when I was 14 and I tried to stab someone. And, you know, fortunately … my life has been changed. And I’m a very different person now.”

Asked by NBC host Chuck Todd if such statements would hamstring his aspirations to the presidency, Carson said: “…As people get to know me, they know that I’m not a hateful, pathological person like some people try to make me out to be. And that will be self-evident.”

Trump wants your vote, not your money.
He seems to lack a gift for politics. This isn’t the way to assure people you have a pulse.
It seems his energy was motivated by adrenaline induced anger. Therefore, no anger, no high energy. Not always a bad thing but fox mocked him by having Trump yell about his energy and the next clip was the Eeyore response from Carson that he wasn’t going to respond. What is it about energy?
Let’s talk Trumps energy. He is very energetic about things, especially himself. Has anyone timed his speeches and figured out how much time he spends repeating himself about himself in relation to how much time he talks about what he wants to do?
I like what he wants to do. The thing is, what he wants to do has to be equal or more extreme than what this administration has done in damage. How is Trump going to get us out of 18 or more Trillion in debt? By taking back the billions in equipment in Iraq and using it?
Is he going to have the FBI clear out CAIR and the MuslimBrohood?
Is he going to get rid of the departments we hate in the government? Are any of the candidates talking about cutting government departments?
You know Ben....we actually didn't know until you mentioned it, you know. I can't help but think you bring this out now to make you sound "street tough", or "I'm just as tough as Trump."
Then you went on to add the terrible sounding word "Volatile" to emphasize your point, bad choice. Did you mean you were or can be as Volatile as the BLM gang? For which I may say that volcano is still in your soul and will perhaps erupt any moment.
Jeb is soft spoken quiet & very low energy as well, and look what happened to him, he's in meltdown mode now, you know. Watch your step.
Mr. Carson: you know, I never bought into your Mr. Nice guy persona. You are very smart and due all you have earned, congratulations and be sure and THANK YOUR MOTHER for that, but being a volatile President of the U.S. is not idea of security and fairness to all.
somewhere there is a pic of JEB asleep and a pic of Carson asleep....should be shown side by side. So Low in energy they can't be recharged.
Trump can use millions of small donors. It helps his message in a big way.
I am surprised by Dr Carson. Twice in one week - the Medicare issue and now this teen savage stuff. I am now wondering: is he trying to self-destruct, or is incredibly bad at politics?
carson exists to sucker votes for Rubio later on.

You know, I never understood why this guy decided to run for president in the first place.
And I actually read some of these stories over at some lefty site the other day and I wasn’t sure what to make of it, whether they were true, or exaggerated, or what.
But now, here it is out of his own mouth, and quite honestly his version sounds worse than what I read.
It sounds like he was a very lucky fellow to escaped going to jail at some point.
Anyone might be in a fist fight along the way, but stabbing people, or attempting to stab them, that’s a little extreme. And, btw, it was over complete BS too.
