Ben Carson has plowed past Donald Trump in a second poll of Iowa voters released on Friday.
Carson wins 28 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers in Iowa, according to the Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register poll, while Trump gets 19 percent.

And it doesn’t matter at all.
Let me explain why I firmly believe that Trump is going to sweep the primaries.
It’s not about the polls and it’s not about how many people support a candidate.
It’s about how many people actually take the time to register to vote. How many roll themselves out of bed or take their lunch hour or take time off of work to walk into the polling place and pull the lever for their guy.
Trump’s supporters are motivated and passionate. Carson’s supporters smile and say, “He’s a nice guy.” But that nice guy isn’t attracting the crowds. That nice guy is burning through his (solicited) donations like water. His supporters aren’t bellowing all over the internet with passion.
Iowa tends to only get about 19% participation rate in the primaries. That’s it. Only 1 out of 5 eligible voters actually show up.
When the rubber meets the road, it will be Trump supporters stampeding the ballot box.
I could easily support Cruz, Jindal, or Paul. I could hold my nose and vote for Rubio or Fiorina. The rest are pretty much off my radar.
Just like all of those post-debate surveys showing how much Carly kicked butt...only to be nowhere today.
And nary a word has been spoken about that.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that perhaps you have been living in seclusion for the past eight years:
No more holding our nose for compromised fake conservative candidates. That kind of thinking is what got us where we are today.

...Iowa and New Hampshire is less predictive of campaign intent because all candidates HAVE TO make an impression to keep up appearances. However, even there, the real action is only within Team Trump and Team Jeb with Carson, Cruz and Fiorina doing the next closest effort...
I don’t buy into the blind Trump worship and, in fact, I don’t buy into the blind worship of any political candidate.
No candidate is a savior. No candidate can make your life wonderful or “make America great”. A candidate who promises that is a scam artist.
We as individuals are responsible for doing that. I don’t put my faith in any man or woman. I put my faith in Almighty God and myself. That’s conservatism.
What Trump’s selling is a continuation and growth of the nanny state. That’s why he’s garnering so much Democrat support.
Trump has them on the run.
Wow, so with these new fake Iowa push polls that seem to be favoring Carson, it looks like the new GOPe strategy is to try to disprove Sundance!
LOL! Thanks for pointing this out!
“Most major Protestant denominations consider them (SDAs) to be a borderline cult.”
I think you could delete “borderline” and be more accurate.
Thanks for posting the list of prior Iowa winners; I was about to ask what the track record was for the IA Caucus. I was thinking they went for Santorum at one point in time, but guess that’s not correct. Santorum is RC, and most Protestant denominations also consider that a cult as well. Whatever happens in Iowa, it’ll be interesting.
Anyone ruuning on the Republican side including Cruz is more conservative than your false god trump.
Name one candidate who previously assented to a woman’s right to procure a partial birth abortion. Other than your false god trump.
Name one candidate other than your false god trump who proposed a wealth tax.
Name one candidate other than your false god trump who, less than three months ago praised singlr-payer health systems.
Name one candidate other than your false god trump who expressed a belief that the economy was run better by the dammocraps.
I could easily go on. We haven’t explored the trump lies qbout other Republicans.
You’re projecting onto the wrong Freeper if you think I’m pinning all my hopes and dreams on Trump.
Trump is the most conservative candidate we’ve got in the GOP, so if he attracts some Reagan democrats, that’s par for the course.
God can use people as a conveyor of His vengeance (vengeance is Mine, sayeth the Lord) and it is sweet to watch the lying Establishment Uniparty types freak out over Trump.
Team Jeb! HQ in Iowa: Where the action is!
He didn’t “predict” anything that others weren’t already saying. He figured terrorists would hit us with a bomb, not a jet.
So much for the “prophet,” your false god trump. Bow to your idol.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Get your oppo research on conservatives elsewhere. Trump is the most conservative candidate running, Cruz’s treasonous votes disqualify him.
LOL. Why does Trump bother you so much? He predicted 9/11 and he wasn’t even a politician. You are cracking me up with your religious histrionics!
LoL.
It’s not that Trump is bad, it’s that there is a Cruz Cult and they view him as the second coming of Christ. His father literally has brainwashed him his entire life that Ted is God’s gift to humanity. Rafael even admitted it!
He’s pretty conservative but there’s no question he answers to his billionaire paymasters.
Sitetest is hysterical over Trump. Sad. See #170, #173
Trump’s not attracting “Reagan Democrats” because there is no such thing any longer. Reagan Democrats have either passed away or switched to the GOP.
The only Democrats left have a nanny state mindset and they believe Trump represents what they want in government. That’s a pretty scary thought, IMO.
Killing fully-formed babies in the womb is religious histrionics??
I see what you are. It is not conservative. It is not even decently human. You would have asked whether there was a cheaper more efficient way to kill Jews than the ovens.
