Dover Air Force Base is the latest battleground in the War on Christmas.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation got their tinsel in a twist after they learned that airmen had been encouraged to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a Christian ministry run by my good friend, Franklin Graham.
The boxes are given to impoverished children around the world.
MRFF founder Mikey Weinstein filed a formal complaint and demanded the email sender be punished. Mr. Weinstein wields considerable power within the Obama Administration's Pentagon.
So, on Tuesday, Dover disavowed the email and renounced their endorsement of Operation Christmas Child. Lt. Col. Donald Tasker fired off an email to airmen:

So Huffington Post’s “religious writer” is not only an atheist, but is working for Mikey Weinstein and his organization. Well, that seems fair and unbiased.
I know it is not Christian of me, but I wish really bad things on these people.
Maybe just wish both God’s love, and grace, and mercy, and His JUSTICE on them!
The bottom line IS that without their repentance, in the end, all they’ll receive is His JUSTICE! All the more reason to pity them.
..and hope He meets that justice upon them quickly.
Well, what can we expect? We have a muslim in our whitehouse, if he isn’t one, he sure backs their leaders, we have general officers whose pair have turned to jelly, and none of our elected DARE NOT become offended by the complaints of those who are not Christians. So all who work in dc and take direction from the whitehouse, DO NOTHING about our Christian Nation, but take our money, which a lot goes to the muslims who live here and the mid east.
Mikey Weinstein and Lt. Col. Donald Tasker are both the absolute scum of the earth - May their deeds give them their just rewards.
The Bible is chock full of stories about how God punished the people for their failure to observe his laws. What make us think we are immune? Cuidado America!
And may Dover Airmen overwhelm OCC with gift boxes.
Last year, our Trail Life USA troop packed boxes at our meeting. We invited a young lady from our church who has run the gamut with OCC. As a child in India, she told excited she was to receive a gift box from America. When she grew up, she worked at an orphanage and was able to pass out boxes. Now she lives in America and has packed and shipped OCC boxes.
It’s a neat story.
Cool story.
I’ll be surprised if we see NORAD tracking Santa this year.
OK so the base cannot endorse the program. But I didn’t see anything in that email that discouraged the base personnel from participating.
