I have a serious question for the Trump supporters, and I hope they will be able to answer it, at least to themselves. It is a question that every supporter of every candidate should be able to answer if they consider themselves a thinking voter instead of a mindless, drooling sports fan. The question is this:
What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?
SNIP
............Its supposed to matter what candidates think, do, and say. There should be a point with literally every candidate where something they have done would push us over the edge to the point that we wouldnt support them anymore.

It’s the same article and you know it. You choose to take the same tactics as the author because you are against Trump. I am not against him and choose to see this “cleverness” for what it really is.
The author doesn’t give a crap what we think; only that we stop thinking it if we are supporting or tolerating Trump.
For me it would be if he were to start apologizing for the things he has said in order to be PC. If he starts backpedaling on his positions on immigration, gun control, etc. in order to keep from offending, I’m done with him. He will be no better than the rest. It’s OK to see reason and recognize a mistake but never apologize for your actions or beliefs if you know you are right.
The main reason I like him, other than his stand on certain topics, is that he is strong, he’s not PC, and he’s not afraid to say what he thinks and stand behind it. I am sick to death of the whiny, mewling apologists that are in politics now. They make me want to barf whenever they open their mouths. Trump is a breath of fresh air.
The only thing that really worries me is his temper. He needs a good VP beside him to keep him balanced but still retain his strength.
If he changes his name to Donald Bush
If he picks Jeb Bush as VP
If he gets caught cheating on his wife with Rosie O’Donnell
If he gets caught sexting with Barbara Boxer
If he was a muslim born in kenya
More like - you don’t like the question.
On a side note, I randomly asked a guy at whole foods yesterday what he thought of Trump. He said he was afraid that Trump would get us in a war so he planned to support Hillary because he thought it would be nice to have a woman president. Amazing!
Trump will unite us. I feel this. He will good people in his cabinet, people who now run against him. I see this.
He’s a smart man, not a clown.
I wake up almost every morning, and the same people have posted the negative articles about Trump. These are smart people, whom over the years I’ve respected, but I know they haven’t read what the man has written, or maybe even heard his speeches. They have this ill conceived idea about the guy.
There was an interesting article from Rolling Stone about Trump a few weeks back. Trump asked the reporter who was invited on a Trump trip about his views on something. At the time it didn’t seem to get noticed by Trump, and then suddenly a distillation of those views appeared in a Trump speech.
If Trump has the skill of noticing and deducing what concerns are important, then we have more than half the battle fought. While nobody was as wise as Solomon, this is how Solomon worked as well. He considered it all and chose what was wise. And now Trump is in a sphere where he must consider far more than he ever heard as a New York mogul. Trump had leaned liberal because liberal was all he had heard about. Nobody is surprised at a fish to find it wet from its native home in the water. But when it starts walking around on land, people notice.
I am sorry I ever signed up for your thread to promote your Governor for Pres. You have real issues. Get help.
I think Trump got in it originally to be Trump and have some tabloid type fun, reap some face time and figured that at some point it would fizzle out. That he caught fire I think surprised even him. Which is why it's taken so long for the "serious side" of his campaign to start putting out real policy beyond the shallowness of a Tweet.
More like, the question is tendentious.

Interesting list.
How do you feel then about his latest, when he tells interviewers he will not divulge plans on how he would address some issues?
I think there need to be answers so that voters know their product.
Could equally mean that the plans are still under consideration. It isn’t soup yet.
Which, granted, is not how a know-it-all would work.
Rather than wallowing in their own self-importance and presumptuousness, and their severe case of TDS, maybe the folks at RS should try promoting the candidate of their choice.
This constant Trump bashing and insulting of his supporters will accomplish nothing.
That's a fair question. I generally decide based on what candidates say - in context. If, for example, Jeb Bush said that illegals are merely committing "an act of love" when they commit a crime to enter our country, then I would never under any circumstances support him. Similarly, if Rubio ran as a Tea Party conservative and then pushed a bill to reward criminals who enter our country illegally, then he would be dead to me.
So far, I like what both Cruz and Trump have said. Cruz is on top in my ratings because I have seen how he responded to government power. I am confident that he would do as he promises. Trump is #2, ahead of Carson, because I have confidence in his ability to run a big organization. I'm watching all three to see if they stick to positions I support on gun rights (no infringement), Amnesty (no reward for criminals), and Obamacare (no socialized medicine).
Geez....it this were an article of serious inquiry and genuine search for an answer, the author would have not had 5 or 6 preplanned answers on Trump’s position for various issues. Serious research does not start out with a set of preplanned answers to potential findings. It waits for the results.
The “serious question” thing is a ruse, as is your choice to post this article.
Trump supports socialized medicine.
I think the same thing happened with Obama.
But why is it, that all you Trump haters and doubters KEEP saying the guy hasn’t answered serious questions or done anything but tweet when you know full well that he’s put out three serious policy papers?
1. Immigation
2. 2nd Amendment
3. Taxes
