NASA: "Earth's Human Civilization Came Early in the Evolving Universe"
The Daily Galaxy ^ | October 20, 2015 | Sum Gai

NASA researchers say that future Earths are more likely to appear inside giant galaxy clusters and also in dwarf galaxies, which have yet to use up all their gas for building stars and accompanying planetary systems. By contrast, our Milky Way galaxy has used up much more of the gas available for future star formation.

A big advantage to our civilization arising early in the evolution of the universe is our being able to use powerful telescopes like Hubble to trace our lineage from the big bang through the early evolution of galaxies. The observational evidence for the big bang and cosmic evolution, encoded in light and other electromagnetic radiation, will be all but erased away 1 trillion years from now due to the runaway expansion of space. Any far-future civilizations that might arise will be largely clueless as to how or if the universe began and evolved.

My thoughts were hope and whatever substitutes for prayer.

NASA is a bottom feeder agency that works only to sustain the money that they can glom from our treasury.

End NASA along with numerous other agencies that sap the life's blood from our nation. End the quest for knowledge of the Universe and live life in peaceful ignorance.

We’ve fallen far from that level.

By contrast, our Milky Way galaxy has used up much more of the gas available for future star formation.

Isn't this a moot point? After all, our galaxy is set to collide with a neighboring galaxy soon (in galactic terms), so plenty of gas will be available. Someone is always saying we're running out of gas, but what do they know.

no clues as to what happened so long ago

We're in that situation already with respect to the origin of life.

The only thing we see now is the complex DNA/RNA type life, and whatever came before was not preserved in the fossil record.

What in hell does NASA know about such things?

I thought their primary mission was Muslim outreach...?

It would be interesting if it turned out that humans are the elders of the universe. Talk about a big future responsibility that we will have to grow into. Though that might all be moot with the expanding universe concept.

Then the UFOs are coming from the future, or another universe.

We should leave them a message on a flash drive.

lmao. Awww geez man don't give them any more ideas of things they "can do for me".! Can't afford all the things they are already doing for me now.

All kidding aside, I was saying on here many years ago that the socialists would be pushing for free college for all. I realized then that the government would certainly want to help me educate all those needing further indoctrination. Viola! It's now on at a Demoncrat debate near you soon. U better be quick and get ahead of this GOP or you will be relegated to reactionary defensive fetal position yet again as the left swallows another institution completely. They already control the student loan spigot by fiat.

Science can not account for 80% of the mass in the universe. That’s just for starters.

BTM, I’m pretty science oriented; medical science. The blood, guts and snot kind.

Earth came early to the party in the evolving universe. According to the new theoretical study, when our solar system was born 4.6 billion years ago only eight percent of the potentially habitable planets that will ever form in the universe existed. And, the party won’t be over when the sun burns out in another 6 billion years. The bulk of those planets — 92 percent — have yet to be born.

This conclusion is based on an assessment of data collected by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and the prolific planet-hunting Kepler space observatory.

Well, I’ve believed for a long time that UFO’s are actually our future selves trying desperately to save us from the universally horrible experience of orphaned socks in the dryer. Someone has to think of the socks!!!
