Justin Trudeau is considered a political lightweight that is only there for the name, he is a puppet (and not very intelligent.)

On the bright side, my occasional Fall hunting trips to Churchill will be a LOT cheaper when Trudeau collapses the loonie.

If the polls are right, it’ll probably be a Liberal minority or Liberal NDP coalition government.

What’s funny about all of this is that many major newspapers have endorsed Harper and the Conservatives at the last minute and this has stirred controversy a good bit. I think that they know that many want to show Stephen Harper the door tonight (whether or not you agree with that is something else of course and I certainly voted Conservative) but probably also have a very good idea that Justin is most likely going to be that kind of a very serious disappointment to many soon afterwards.

So there's hope for Lincoln Chafee after all?

I’m praying for you guys down in Michigan. I only get my Canadian news in drips, but I know that Justin Trudeau is going to sink that nation. His dad was a wingnut, but at least he wasn’t as infantile as this brat.

We have plenty of room in da U.P. if any of you need to become refugees.

Anyway, if the Libs win, I give it a year before another election will be held.

I was once a member of the Stephen Harper fan club, however he lost me years ago with his foul neglect of veterans, clawing back their benefits, closing of offices that serve veterans, and on top of that, Harper has had YEARS to do something about the continually deteriorating Canadian Navy, and he has done NOTHING. Ships are being removed from service due to their inability to sail safely and reliably, they have continued to pour money down a rat hole so far as those former UK lemon submarines are concerned (bought by the Chretien regime for $750 million), pouring even more money into them and their time on station is abysmal.

And truth be told, Harper has been less than candid about the payola deal with former newscaster Mike Duffy who he appointed to the Canadian Senate, who received over $90,000 in cash from Harper’s former chief of staff (Nigel Wright) to compensate Duffy for past residency expenses.

The icing on the cake is Bill C-51 (which could be compared to the unConstitutional ‘Patriot Act’), which undermines the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and gives the Canadian security establishment and law enforcement the right to basically go right up your arse (as they would say) anytime they want to, and in most case without a warrant, all in the name of ‘fighting terrorism’.

I’m not real keen on Trudeau (or Mulcair of the NDP) but Harper has to go.

Things don’t sound good. Got choir practice this evening. Hopefully, good news when I finish, but the feeling on my gut is not good.

God is in charge in all things...even Ahab was put in place by God. Trudeau, though bad, does not hold a candle to Ahab...so far...

Peter Mainsbridge on the CBC just called it for the Grits. Did not call a majority or minority.

Guardian:
“1m ago

The official results page now projects an increasingly commanding lead for the Liberals, apparently at the expense of the NDP, and the Conservatives gaining with a not insignificant share of what progressives did not claim.
Liberals: 83 ridings, 57.9% of the vote
Conservatives: 42 ridings, 19.9%
NDP: 11 ridings, 17.5%

Although the networks have called victory for Trudeau and the Liberals, it’s not clear whether the latter have enough clout to actually pull off a majority government.”

Don’t understand a lick of it. I assume Harper has done a good fiscal job and now voters are putting in Treudeau to GIMME THAT MONEY!

Big swing from NDP to Liberals, which is causing Conservative seats to fall.

Some figures for general information.

Liberals 184
Conservatives 98
NDP 30
Bloc Quebecois 9
Green Party O.

The euphoria and indeed concealed gloating by the Canadian television media is obvious. Their man is possibly a very cultured and affable edition of the late Huey Long.

Trudeau is possibly the final gateway to total socialism/communism in Canada. Time will tell
