He's actually a pretty accomplished guy who has achieved success in a number of spheres. Not the "clown" some are making him out to be.
Of course, they tried to make Reagan seem a clown in 1980, despite all of his accomplishments.
holy crap is right.
Oh, Donny Trumpnobi you’re our only hope. LOL.
It is in his book...
I really am convinced were in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers, wrote Trump in his 2000 book, The America We Deserve. No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen.
Trump even mentions Osama Bin Laden by name, in a criticism of an American foreign policy that too quickly jumps from one crisis to the next.
One day were told that a shadowy figure with no fixed address named Osama bin-Laden is public enemy number one, and U.S. jetfighters lay waste to his camp in Afghanistan, The Donald wrote. He escapes back under some rock, and a few news cycles later its on to a new enemy and new crisis.
What I always think about is that we have the CIA, the NSA, and the U. S. Military.
Those agencies are supposed to have think tanks, assess, plan for, and neutralize any possible threat.
I was aware that airliners could be used as bombs. Little ole me. I was able to listen to scuttlebutt and realize this represented a threat.
The billions of dollars we spend on clandestine services of one sort or another couldn’t come up with this and a way to counter it? Seriously?
What the (expletive deleted) do those ass hats do, that are tasked with domestic security?
We didn’t even have jets nearby ready to scramble to defend the White House or other capital targets in short order.
Talk about a cluster (expletive deleted), this was it.
Frankly, I think thousands of heads should have rolled after 09/11.
NOBODY was doing their job when it came to national security.
It is inevitable that spending over your income will result in debt.
Someone else taking charge of the budget can prevent that.
Is it inevitable or preventable?
Both.
Inevitable if the same policies remain in place, preventable if they do not.
Are you sure about that? I had never heard that one before. Are you sure it's not part of those "truther" conspiracy theories?
Remember when Trump posted that million dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of... never mind.
what ever became of old nevermind?
The opening paragraph of Chapter One is this:
If we run into hard times, we need to know what resources we have, which systems work, and which don't. I'd say up front that what's worked beautifully throughout American history is the freemarket economy. What has brought us low is government bureaucracy and corruption.
Interesting
Other comments from the 2000 book.
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons
Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions
"I support a womans right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures."
Mr Trump...adding my thanks as well. America needs more such as you.
Millions of Americans have, but the dwindling Republican party groupies like some right here, well tell you Trump's a liberal and they will do and say anything to save their so called, "Adult Republican conservative party" insiders".☺
They reek bad and this was all predicted from the beginning.
Why did he not do something about it with all the billion of dollars he had he could have bought up all of the airlines.
He then could have grounded them.
Surely he knew it was an airline that was going to be used
Jeb Bush backs illegal-immigrant driver licenses
April 7, 2004
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to get driver licenses, saying they are in the state anyway and officials should accept that fact.

Yes, Trump did mention the World Trade Center and Osama back in 2000. I’m sure if we scoured the words of politically minded leaders in 2000, we’d find many of them mentioning both the World Trade Center and Osama.

This isn’t an especially amazing prediction. Lots of people predicted ongoing terrorist attacks. And lots of people talked about the attacks against the WTC ...
But if he's running for president and he says that a major terrorist attack is inevitable then he's saying there is nothing that he or anyone else can do to prevent it. I guess that was then and this is now.
