In Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential debate on CNN, Sen. Bernie Sanders said he was going to explain to Americans what democratic socialism is.
Moderator Anderson Cooper asked: “Senator Sanders, a Gallup poll says half the country would not put a socialist in the White House. You call yourself a democratic socialist. How can any kind of socialist win a general election in the United States?
Sanders replied: “Well, we're going to win because first we're going to explain what democratic socialism is. And what democratic socialism is about is saying that it is immoral and wrong that the top one-tenth of 1 percent in this country own almost 90 percent--own almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent. That it is wrong, today--in a rigged economy--that 57 percent of all new income is going to the top 1 percent.
“That when you look around the world, you see every other major country providing health care to all people as a right, except the United States. You see every other major country saying to moms that when you have a baby, we are not going to separate you from your newborn baby, because we are going to have medical and family paid leave, like every other country on Earth.
“Those are some of the principles that I believe in, and I think we should look to countries like Denmark, like Sweden and Norway, and learn from what they have accomplished for their working people.”
Shortly later, Cooper asked Sanders: “You don't consider yourself a capitalist, though?”
Sanders replied: “Do I consider myself part of the casino capitalist process by which so few have so much and so many have so little by which Wall Street's greed and recklessness wrecked this economy? No, I don't. I believe in a society where all people do well. Not just a handful of billionaires.”
No such thing. It always ends up being a tyrannical government in the end.
When you look at the Obama zombies at the Pillars of Styro, The global warmists, the non black supporters of BLM, the non-muslim apologists for islam... in fact any leftist group, there is an orgasmic sense to their fervor.
It’s primal. Beyond even drug addiction in intensity or actual religious fanaticism. There is literally no lie they will not accept, no humiliation they will not suffer, no moral or principle they will not abandon to get their socialist/communist orgasm.
These people are literally insane and they account for over 50 percent of the American population. And when you consider the GOP true believers that are every bit their equal and headed to the same goal by a somewhat different path, you are over 80%.

the far greater concern is about what "democratic socialism" must become to survive -- first, totalitarianism, then coercive totalitarianism, then forceful totalitarianims, then ultimately uncompromisng brutal tyranny.

I did not watch the Dumbocrap debate. For one thing, I don’t own a TV. For another thing, cleaning the cat litter box certainly trumped wasting one nanosecond watching the commie-critters on that theatre of the absurd. But I heard Bernie Sanders’ voice on a radio program today. OMG, he sounds like a complete moron. And that’s just his VOICE. I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams THIS senior citizen relic from the 60s leading this nation. He probably hasn’t had an original thought in his life. Probably hasn’t had ANY thought he didn’t run by his Commie notebook agenda book first. He is a living stereotype! I am appalled that my teaching colleague told me that he intends to vote for this thing, who reminds me of Mother Bates’ corpse in Psycho.

Vermont is 95% white and less than 1.5% black. It may actually be whiter than Denmark.
As far as heroin goes. It is a huge problem in many white suburban communities. It is a major problem in all of Ohio’s suburban and exurban areas. It is at least as bad in the suburbs as in the inner cities and Meth is worse in the exurbs and suburbs than in the cities.
