“Full funding for schools” is a political mantra everywhere for more spending and higher taxes.
Let the courts get involved to force legislatures to hike taxes, its already happened in some places....then people will really be angry about the black robed tyranny.
The people need to resist the spending on things like Common Core like Patton told the soldiers to resist the Nazis.

The word "adequate" is intentionally vague. The measure goes on to cite the "chancery courts" as the parties who get to decide what "adequate" means and use the power of a judicial injunction to impose whatever they like upon the taxpayers. It's a really bad idea. The courts are not answerable to the taxpayers. It's a vote for tyranny of the judiciary. It's always a bad idea to cede control of what you 'need' and what you are 'responsible to provide' to another party...especially a government entity. It is the essence of Marxist philosophy to place the state in control of your rights and property.

The people actually sued the state several years ago to require the legislature to come up with a plan to fully fund the schools. They still haven’t done it and the state supreme court is fining the state $100,000 a day until they get the job done.

Thank you. So much.
That’s some confusing crap.
And they KNOW it is. That’s why they do it.

BILL CRAWFORD: Initiative 42 not what we need in MississippiThe November vote on Initiative 42 is days away. Since it amends the state constitution, voters should carefully consider its long-term impacts. Unlike statutes that can be changed yearly, constitutional amendments last for many years.
Initiative 42 advocates say a constitutional amendment is needed to force the Legislature to fully fund the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP). Most state leaders say the proposed amendment goes too far.
In particular, voters should weigh how Initiative 42 will reduce legislative and executive authority while increasing judicial power over school funding.
Initiative 42 advocates say that funding for other important programs universities, community colleges, prisons, mental health, and economic development to name a few will not face major cuts, nor will taxes have to be increased, to fully fund MAEP because funding can be phased in over seven years.
Unfortunately, this statement is only true during a phase-in period. It is not true over the long haul......................(cont).."

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I have been computer deprived. I was not sure about I-42 until this morning when my congressman the dishonorable Bennie Thompson endorsed I-42. That is all I need to know. If Bennie is for I’m against it.
