Drill, Baby, Drill!
The question is this — Can Israel use that? It’s in the Golan Heights.
SYRIA will probably lay claim to it.
It ups the chances that Israel will get invaded/nuked in efforts to steal their oil.
Golan Heights is occupied Syria, No?
Israel is going to drink Syria’s milkshake!
What took so long to find it?................
10 times larger than WHAT “average”?
I don’t think we know quantity or quality yet.
Russia will set up angle drilling in Syria before Bibi gets past all of the UN whining.
“I drink your milkshake! I drink it up!”
Now Hamas, Hezbollah and the corrupt apparatchiks at the UN will triple their efforts to strip this from Israel. They see an unprecedented opportunity for corruption now.
Ah... God’s provision for His people, even as they reject His salvation plan for the time being.
This is straight out of the Joel Rosenberg book. Can’t remember the title, but it was a goodie.
“Does this mean OPEC will welcome Israel with open arms? “
The purpose of OPEC was to use supplier power (Kind of like GIRL POWER, but without the camera’s image whipping back and forth or the bright costumes) to keep the price of oil high. Saudi Arabia effectively ended OPEC when they tried to use oil prices as a weapon to hurt Iran and punish Russia for interfering with their revolt in Syria.
Price fixing relies on fixing supply. The OPEC members who cheated and produced more than their quota profited over those who didn’t. So, OPEC has been for many years just an excuse to junket around the world at government expense.
I’m fairly certain that if Israel saw an advantage to tagging along with OPEC’s polices they would. But it is to their advantage to do the opposite.
If OPEC thought it was advantageous to have Israel as a member they’d do it. But as Groucho Marx said, “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.”
Many of the comments below the JewsNews article reflect the same initial thought that struck me as I read this.... Bible prophesy unfolding before our eyes and we just happen to have Russia in the region already.
Looks like the Golan will continue to be a significant flashpoint, but now even moreso. In addition to its incredible strategic value we now learn it’s full of oil. Fasten your seat belts ladies and gentlemen, it’s going to be a very bumpy ride.
Angle drilling rigs from Syria should become easy targets.
And God said, “I will make you prosper.... wait for it...”
And, they have waited a long time for oil prosperity, haven’t they?
I hope Israel becomes so rich from this that the Saudi Princes will come begging for money..
Praise the Lord!
Buy oil from Israel and stop buying it from the ay-rabs.
