Someone needs to correct Rush Limbaugh.
He just said on his radio program that it was Roll Call that exposed the Dan Rather fake letters during the Bush presidential campaign.
I believe it was our own FReeper 'Bulkhead' who exposed the fake.

Buckhead.
Don’t know if he was the first, but I’m sure some FReepers who were around at the time can confirm.
Buckhead, not Bulkhead.
BuCkhead, not BuLkhead!
In our archives, do we have the thread where Buckhead solved the riddle of the fonts?
Buckhead.
Autocreect turns it to bulkhead.
And he was first to point out it was Times, a computer font.
Here I found something posted by JimRob:
The Blogospheres Smaller Stars [Buckhead and TankerKC mentioned]
"Earlier this year, CBS aired a now-infamous 60 Minutes episode in which Rather presented typed memoranda supposedly written over 30 years ago by President George W. Bushs Texas Air National Guard commander, the late Lieutenant Colonel Jerry B. Killian. The documents purported to show that Bush received preferential treatment while serving in the military. Hours after the broadcast, well-known bloggers like Little Green Footballs, Power Line, and the widely known Instapundit as well as NRO's Kerry Spot & The Corner were casting doubt on the documents authenticity. As the controversy grew, they posted frequent updates and became virtual clearinghouses of information. "
If I ever have to make a new FR account, my new nick will be Bulkhead.
I thought it was undetermined whether Little Green Footballs beat the FReepers to the punch?

Actually, He gave credit to Power Line blog...
It all happened pretty much simultaneously, but I think it was Buckhead who posted it here first.

Are you QUEER or something?
” I think it was Buckhead who posted it here first.”
It was.
Rush is going to use whatever source that is already accepted by most people. If there’s enough proof that the story was unraveled here on FR, he may take it in. Or, the average person will say it’s history now, and Dan Rather is largely off the air, so what does it really matter now?
He was the first. I remember it well.
