A uniformed Kansas City, Mo., cop hoping to celebrate his birthday with lunch at Olive Garden on Sunday was kicked out because of his duty firearm.
A hostess caught sight of Officer Michael Holsworth’s holstered handgun as he waited for his family and asked the decorated officer to leave the restaurant at once, he ranted in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon.

See - the restaurant *does* have the right to determine its own policies with this regard.
BUT.
That doesn’t mean the restaurant should be immune to retributive actions by protestors. This Olive Garden should feel the full weight of thousands of protestors surrounding it and generally making it a terrible, terrible place in which to dine, until it apologises, etc.
The time to just shuffle off while mumbling “well, that’s the owner’s business...” are over. The Left doesn’t play that way, and we need to stop doing so.

this is probably a case of an idiot being put in charge while there is no manager in the store taking it on his or her responsibility to kick out the police officer.

Technically I was always on duty so I carry everywhere. Kind of like now with CHL. I do not know that I would have left on principle but I probably would have letting them know that myself and every one I told about this would be going elsewhere, like Carrabba’s (better anyway).

This is an easy thing to deal with. If you are a cop and have been refused service because of your duty firearm, simply get out your phone, start recording and ask the hostess to restate the establishment’s policy.
Then ask for a manager, when the manager arrives, ask the manager if it is the policy of the establishment to discriminate against law enforcement who are on duty and in uniform.
This ought to be a safe place to rob now.
