A new commercial from Camden-based Campbell's Soup Company features two fathers feeding their son 'Star Wars'-themed soup has come under fire from critics, but the company says it was creating a real reflection of the American family in the contemporary United States.
The commercial, a promotion ahead of the December release of 'The Force Awakens,' shows the fathers riffing on Darth Vader's bombshell 'Star Wars' quote: "I am your father!" The company developed the idea as part of its "Made for Real, Real Life" campaign, a tagline that aims to capture what's going on people's lives when they eat soup, according to AdAge.

Today there is an abundance of generics that are almost the same. Way back when, it really was just about only Campbells.
Because a large portion of their demographic supports the Gay lifestyle. It is a fad. One that is rapidly fading in my humble opinion. Marketing executives have traditionally catered to fads to sell their products. I sort of wish they would go back to swallowing goldfish.
Really? 1.5% of the population suffers from homosexuality. Even if 50% of those, which is ridiculously high, are engaged in a pseudo marriage, and raising someone's kids, the percentage of these arrangements would not even register. Tell me again how they are reflecting "contemporary" families?
I cook from scratch but like to have a couple of store brand cream of whatever soup.
And too, they are probably trying to buy off those who have wormed their way into positions of influence.
It looks like a problem of a general loss of courage.
Campbell's Soup belongs in Andy Warhol's art, but not in any home with children.
“Doesnt Campbells realize that gay parents are a minute portion of the American family? Why cater to them?”
What's in that soup?
maybe I really don't want that can of New England Clam Chowder after all.
Campbell makes nothing unique that cant be supplied from another company
eFF them. queer lovers.
I can’t wait for that heartwarming Campbells commercial showing a father and son out on a hunting trip sharing a can of soup while cleaning their weapons. Surely, that represents a much higher reflection of american life, no?
Home made is even better.
Homemade vegetable beef soup.
With barley.
Yum
They’re sucking up to something.
The gospel of gay is going to keep going around, I predict, until the gospel of godliness once more overtakes it. And for some... before we can even think about stoning, we have to personally ourselves to atoning. To giving our our sex sins (and there’s a lot of them) to Christ. But perhaps if we do, the message will sweep all America and even much/most of the “gay” will hear and be saved. Right now if a person found himself with wishes of that kind, do you think it is going to be easy for him to get any help doing anything else? With the entire witness of America being for profligacy and such scandal going on in the churches?
Waiting for Cambell's commercial about a family saying grace giving thanks to Jesus Christ.
You know, like most REAL families do.
Maybe Duck Dynasty could found a line of game soups etc. ? Or kits to easily turn game into such soups.
As opposed to homo made (badoom tish)
A lot, but I’m not sure most today.
I honestly don't think so. This isn't personal, it's only business. Catering to or advocating a lifestyle only makes sense in the context of motivating your demographic. Business Marketing 101. Capitalism is a beautiful thing but it has it's dark side.
