A new commercial from Camden-based Campbell's Soup Company features two fathers feeding their son 'Star Wars'-themed soup has come under fire from critics, but the company says it was creating a real reflection of the American family in the contemporary United States.
The commercial, a promotion ahead of the December release of 'The Force Awakens,' shows the fathers riffing on Darth Vader's bombshell 'Star Wars' quote: "I am your father!" The company developed the idea as part of its "Made for Real, Real Life" campaign, a tagline that aims to capture what's going on people's lives when they eat soup, according to AdAge.

Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup
Ingredients
8 cups water or 8 cups canned chicken broth
1 cup carrot, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 cup celery, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 cup onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
4 teaspoons salt ( to taste)
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper, to taste
1 (3 1/2 lb) roasting chickens (I use a package of chicken bones, which is basically a package of 3-4 chicken frames with lots of meat left on)
3 cups wide egg noodles, uncooked
Directions
In 4-1/2 to 6-quart slow-cooker bowl, combine water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, 4 t salt, 1/2 t pepper.
Place whole chicken on top of vegetables (I place my chicken frames in a little cotton net bag I buy at my kosher grocery--it keeps the bones from scattering and makes stripping the meat from the frames much easier).
Cover slow cooker with lid and cook as manufacturer directs on low setting 8 to 10 hours or on high 4-5 hours (I leave my crockpot on LOW for overnight, which is generally 6-7 hours, and it's fine).
Transfer chicken to cutting board. Discard bay leaves. Add noodles to slow-cooker; cover with lid and cook (on low or high) 20 minutes.
While noodles cook, remove and discard skin, fat and bones from chicken; shred meat.
Skim fat from soup and discard. Return chicken to soup to serve.
I was of course referring to the many businesses that have been driven out of business, fined and under a variety of oppresive court orders because they were targeted by anti-Christian activists for destruction, aided by anti-Christian public officials, such as a wedding photographer, several owners of wedding locations, a florist who may lose her home as well as her business, and many bakers in several states who refused to make gay wedding cakes. Here in Maryland, a wedding excursion company had to shut down in the state capital. These stories are in states from coast to coast. Surely you read the Bible, that tells us we shall have persecutions.
Cambell’s: We aim to lock up the 1%-of-the-population queer fathers market!
Not much there for me to boycott except V-8. The soups themselves are little more than salt water laden with chemicals and starches, essentially not fit for human consumption in my opinion.
“Doesnt Campbells realize that gay parents are a minute portion of the American family? Why cater to them?”
Because somewhere around 70% of the American public supports the gay agenda. That’s a landslide in any election.
Corporations don’t exist to push an agenda beyond making money. When they jump on a social bandwagon that should tell us something.
Faggots in our godammed soup now?
That’s it,this is war.
They don’t look queer to me, what makes you so sure?
Is Sonic pro fag, that would be surprising.
I went to the Campbell’s soup web site. They don’t have a “contact us” or other means by which to send feedback. Does anyone have an email or link where I can “share” my opinion?
Doesnt Campbells realize that gay parents are a minute portion of the American family? Why cater to them?
____________
Because they may be a minute portion of the American family but they are trendy and have a lot of support, particularly with young women and middle aged women who fawn over them, the elites who want the approbation, and the intellectual class who use them as a spear to force their own progressive issues on the culture.
I’ve mostly gone completely scratch with my meals, so it’s getting easier and easier to dump the processed prepackaged ‘food.’
I think most of it is plastic fillers anyway.
Those two Sonic guys have appeared with their commercial “wives” on more than one occasion. Yeah, they are just friends, at least that’s the way I’ve always seen it.
And if that stops Christians then they are being weak hearted fools.
Don't you have to have some yogurt (at least a little) to make yogurt?
Maybe there’s something on the label of the product. If you don’t want to buy it, copy it off the can next time you go to the grocery.
They named shakes after their girlfriends so they may not be old queens. I'm still on the fence with their relationship.
Easy to avoid everything on that list.
Homemade yogurt is super simple. Yes, you have to have a little store bought yogurt to use as starter but it can be chained or buy cultures. One individual sized container should last months or a year.
If anyone wants a recipe, let me know.
Except Campbell’s has been a charter member of the LGBT movement. This isn’t a one time thing.
Potato chips are easy to make. Use one of those slicer gadgets to slice potatoes thin and fry them. Salt and seasonings. Yum. One potato will make about a whole bag which proves how pricey they are.
My, you’re charitable. Not. The least you can do is pray for them. I guess you think people who don’t want to get crucified by ISIS are “weak-hearted fools.”
