Its no secret that there has been a fair amount of dissention among the Republican Party in Congress. A few weeks ago, Speaker of the House John Boehner, who became the primary target of blame for the partys division, announced his resignation. The opportunity to elect new leadership should have been the first step towards uniting our party; however, that has been far from the case.
Turmoil in the House seems to only have increased as we work to determine who is best fit to lead Congress. However, one thing upon which everyone can seem to agree on are the principles we would each want in the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Four Principles
First, we need a proven conservative. Second, we need someone who has stood up to the Republican establishment. Third, we need someone who is willing to take on this President and his liberal agenda every single day. And lastly, we need someone who will bring us back to regular order and restore committee jurisdiction.
Who Should the Next Speaker Be?
Over the past weeks, I have listened to my colleagues about what they want to see in a Speaker. They want to see these principles in action and they want to see leadership. I went down the list of the 246 Republicans in the House and one name came up again and again: Congressman Marsha Blackburn. From her strong pro-life stance to her fight to protect our Second Amendment right to bear arms, Congressman Blackburn is a proven conservative fighter.
Last year, she led the fight against amnesty in the House, as well as sponsored legislation known as the CLEAR act that gives law enforcement the tools they need to assist the Federal government in deporting criminal illegal immigrants from our country.

Who?
Is she a Rino, and can she be as tough as Carly if need be?
Brilliant, also takes the wind out of the sails of Shrillary’s absurd war on women rhetoric.
Far less of a RINO than Carly—or Paul Ryan.
She’d be a very good choice for conservatives, particularly when the alternatives are considered.
Jefferson Sessions as Vice President
Department of State, (return INS.) Donald Rumsfeld
Department of Justice Rep. Steve King
Department of Treasury, (includes former Homeland Security - Customs) Carl Icahn (Offered and Accepted)
Department of War, (change the name back.) Gen. James Mattis
Department of Interior, (includes the legitimate functions only of former Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Homeland Security - Border Patrol, and Energy Departments) Gov. Palin
Department of Health and Human Services (include the VA function.) Dr. Ben Carson
Department of Labor and Commerce ELIMINATE
Department of Homeland Security ELIMINATE
Department of Education ELIMINATE as proposed by The Donald, 9/23/25 at a Columbia, SC Town Hall with Sen. Tim Scott.
Department of Energy ELIMINATE
Department of Housing and Urban Development ELIMINATE
Department of Veterans Affairs - ELIMINATE
Department of Agriculture ELIMINATE
Department of Transportation - ELIMINATE
This proposed model has the President directly managing seven subordinates which is optimal.
In non-cabinet level jobs
Sheriff Clarke should be FBI Director
Michelle Bachman as IRS Commissioner under Secretary Carl Icahn in Treasury
Admiral James A. Ace Lyons as Undersecretary of War - Navy Branch.
LTC Allen West as Undersecretary of War Army Branch.
Lynnette Diamond Hardaway and Rochelle Silk Richardson would be great as President Trumps Co-Press Secretaries.
Marsha Blackburn, Speaker of the House
Ted Cruz as Senate Majority Leader.
I would take Blackburn over iCarly any day of the week:
“Rep. Marsha Blackburn should put her name in the race to become the next Speaker of the House, says the American Conservative Unions executive director, Daniel Schneider.
Blackburn is the most conservative woman in all of Congress. She has a lifetime ACU rating of 96 that puts her in a solid A camp. Year-in and year-out she is consistently been a solid performer, Schneider said.”
CR 72%, ACU 96%, numbersusa B+. Not too bad for someone who's been in DC 6 terms. Certainly more conservative than Paul Ryan or any of the e-Types who're going t crawl out of the woodwork.
And she’s easy on the eyes.
I am a gig fan of Scott Walker, although I sincerely believe Trump is our best bet this time around. Surely you could find a spot for Gov Walker (who I hope is president some day)on your dream team.
I think she’d be perfect. And she’d probably be great handling Pelosi, see through all the phony overtures.
Gov. Walker is great. His team said he just wasn’t aggressive enough out of the gate.
No.
and can she be as tough as Carly if need be? Yes, and with considerably more likeability factor. And none of the baggage.
She's smart, articulate and warm. The real deal.
I agree. She is all of those things. She is the Rep. for a neighboring District here in TN. and I have always wished she were my Congresswoman. She would make a great Speaker.
Boehner forced to resign wants to renege and push back the election until he can personally appoint his successor. Round up 218 votes for Marsha Monday morning and send Boehner home. I believe she would be excellent as SOTH and the Republicans could start doing what they were elected to do.
Toss some other name out, No way in Hell should Blackburn be even in the same room with a “Good” speaker of the House. She is not and would not be even a “Fair” Speaker of the House
Yep I live in TN.
Icm on board, too. Change things up!
I’m in Mississippi 01 and border her district. I’m going to call Congressman Kelly Monday morning and urge him to support Congresswoman Blackburn as the compromise candidate and end this game that’s being played and let Congress get down to business and throw away obama’s rubber stamp. Do something. Be Conservative.
I’m curious—why do you say that?
