Since House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., shocked his congressional colleagues early Thursday by withdrawing his name from consideration to replace John Boehner, R-Ohio, as Speaker of the House, Republicans have launched a relentless press aimed at convincing House Ways and Means Committee chair Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to put himself forward for the job.
Fox News has learned that Boehner himself is imploring Ryan, Mitt Romney's running mate on the 2012 Republican presidential ticket, to put himself forward for the top job in the House, largely because Ryan is one of the few unifying figures in the House Republican Conference.

Can someone explain to me why the vote was canceled just because McCarthy dropped out? Weren’t there two others running that could be voted on? Was it because Boehner now was not going to get the result he wanted?
I hope not.
1. His position on many issues is “RINOesque”
2. He is too close to the establishment
3. He lacks the intelligence for leadership - anybody who couldn’t win a debate with an idiot like Biden is unfit for leadership.

However, as of minutes before the Special Report last evening Ryan reconfirmed he was not running
Sure hope it stays that way. Someone needs to unite all of the right.

On another issue, McCarthy was just outed as having a girl friend by Homeland Security which they would have used to keep him in line once he became Speaker of the House. There is no doubt the US Supreme Court members are being black mailed by this administration along with most of the Republican RINO’s. No leadership, no guts, no standing up to this communist in the WH.
Ryan can take a long walk off a short dock, NO thanks! Americans need a strong leader who will stand up to this out of control government and the communist running it!
