Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday that he doesnt think that Donald Trump will capture the 2016 GOP presidential nomination and predicted that it is only a matter of time before most of the New York billionaires supporters will move into his camp. During an appearance on WABC-AM Radio, host Rita Cosby asked Mr. Cruz whether he would eventually move past Mr. Trump based on his conservative principles, and the Texas Republcian said I think thats right. In time, I dont believe Donald is going to be the nominee, and I think in time the lions share of his supporters end up with us, Mr. Cruz said. Mr. Trump has tangled with most of the candidates running for the Republican presidential nomination and has touted how some of his rivals have sunk in the polls after attacking him. But he has not traded barbs with Mr. Cruz, who has been Mr. Trumps biggest ally in the crowded GOP field. In the WABC-AM interview, Mr. Cruz continued to praise Mr. Trump, saying he liked and respected Donald. Mr. Cruz said Mr. Trump has boosted his candidacy and his chance of becoming the partys standard-bearer. I think his involvement has been tremendously helpful to my campaign because it has framed the central question of the primary as: Who will stand up to Washington? Mr. Cruz said. And if thats the central question, the natural next question, that any voter will ask is okay, well who actually has stood up to Washington? Who has a record in that regard? The Cruz campaign also announced Thursday that he will report raising $12.2 million over the last three months exceeding the hauls of fellow Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, who plans to report $6 million, and Rand Paul of Kentucky, who raised $2.5 million.

I did not want to mention this in the prior response, because it would move things off topic.
It is of such interest to me, that I wanted to touch on it here.
When the gifts of the Holy Spirit were given to Jesus disciples, it was representative of something to me, that I question if others have ever considered it. Perhaps that’s a juvenile thought, but it does occur to me.
We have read of information technology and the concept of implanting a massive database at some point in time so humans could have access to it, to increase their accessible knowledge any time they wished.
Right there in the Bible is something even better.
When we are restored to our nature before the fall of man, I suggest it is likely we will have knowledge at our fingertips to answer the great questions of the ages.
We have probably not contemplated the amazing gift the Holy Spirit may turn out to be.
We have probably not contemplated the full loss that the fallen angels from heaven experienced.
There is so much we puny humans don’t even know right the questions to ask about.
Everybody says they’re going to win the nomination. Cruz would be an idiot to say somebody else is going to win the nomination.
Yes! God is not fair, but just. He also made some men taller than others. He made a covenant with Abraham but not with Lot, with Jacob but not Ishmael.
Romans 9:21-23 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory...Emphasis mine.
Do you believe that every man prior to the cross was condemned to die an eternal death?
No, many believed in the types and shadows of the promise to come. In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, we have the advantage over men in history. They were without excuse, we all the more for to whom much is given much is required.
Shalom!
I believe that our estate will be better than before the fall. Both estates are innocent of sin, but in the restoration we will not want to sin and will not sin. It also seems that the familial bonds will be redefined, Adam had a wife, but Jesus says there is no marrying or giving in marriage in the resurrection. No doubt our reasoning ability will be vastly enhanced without sin and narcissistic emotional motives. We know our bodies will not see corruption and the things that were dangerous will not longer be a threat. I speculate that we will wear garments to signify the covering of the righteousness of Christ rather than be naked like in Eden. It is a mystery how developed our intellects will be and what access to knowledge will be available.
1. You asked the question too. (why is he so popular)
2. You tried to get others to address it.
3. You read what I said and saw value in it.
4. You followed up with posts in response that pulled more reasons out.
<<< Trump doesnt even know where the swamp is.” >>>
Terribly cute of you, but LOL!
Thankfully, Trump does not know where the swamp is, but like us, he does know the location of Washington, DC.
I wouldn’t lament so much the “immaturish exuberance”, or the “invidious, effluvious fantasy”. I think the record will show that you too owned all that, your very own self, during the Palin “psychedelic” high. No limb was too long and fragile for you to crawl out on to hang the moon halo on your own favorite icon.
More important is that you don’t sit on that Thesaurus too long and wind up with two cracks in your @$$. Run put a band aid on it, so we can stop laughing.
Iowa has gone Dem 6 out of the last 7 elections.
Michigan has gone Dem the last 6 elections.
Maine has gone Dem the last 6 elections. Obama won it by 17% in 2008 and 15% in 2012.
New Hampshire has gone Dem 5 out of the last 6 elections.
NM has gone Dem 5 out of the last 6 elections.
I can see Cruz winning Oh, Pa, Wi, and Fl based on ground game.
PA has gone Dem the last 6 elections.
WI has gone Dem the last 7 elections. Even with Ryan on the ticket, WI went for Obama 53% to 46%.
We have probably seen our last conservative chances dashed permanently, but certainly if Trump doesn’t pull this off, we’re done for a generation.
There is simply no Republican Party anymore. There is the UniParty and you will see moderates, like Trump who will be the old Democrat and one who has had enough of the Democrats turning this country into Venzuela. I have never thought Trump to be anything but secular, and a live and let live type of guy, but a good guy who has had enough.
Didn’t we always really know in our inner self that it would take Democrats to stop the Democrats? I believe Trump attracts that operational thinking going on out there among Democrats. OTH, he is respectful to the most urgent of grievances that conservatives have. He has come out deploring abortion and the atrocities of Planned Parenthood.
That movement to the Right was the threshold and starting point for us, and it was one he was willing to cross to get consideration from conservatives. Now we are wildly supportive of his command and believe him to be the force for restoration of our border security, our economy, our military, our foreign policy and US trade deals.
It’s pretty great, if he can sell these interests to enough Democrats to overwhelm the Marxists among our population.
Thanks for your graphs and visuals! Serious, isn’t it?
I will vote for Cruz if he’s the nominee.
But I see him as another cartel member. He is on the fringes, but still a member nonetheless, IMO.
I also see him as the latest “rising star” championed by the Tea Party. Recall the rest of the rising stars who so bitterly disappointed us by joining, one after another, the cartel.
ALL of the candidates have a few bones rattling around in their closets, including Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
I plan to vote for Trump because he is not a politician.
He might be a crushing disappointment as well.
He’s got to be better than anything the dems put up though.
I don’t believe he will destroy the country.
There were some articles hinting around about Trump’s lack of experience in the political arena that subtly compared him to Obama.
That is not a fair comparison.
Trump is a builder. He’s been one all his life.
Obama has always been a destroyer.
Trump’s got my hopes up.
On my part, maybe it’s childish or naive.
But in the end, it’s my vote.
None of you are going to change my mind.
Soon it will be down to 4-6 and the “debates” will get much more interesting.
Good for you. Charge the hill and don’t let the crap bother you.
My own premise is this, that should the media/Establishment/KStreet/Coc/Wall Street actually succeed in taking Trump down, then it’s a certainty no one else will stand, who is even marginally conservative. Except for the GOPE candidate who will get to run up the middle to the nomination. Again.
If Trump were felled, most of his conservative support will move directly to Cruz, but accepting the fact that Cruz will never win the nomination.
If they knock Trump out, Cruz would be my preference over the rest of them.
But I don’t believe he’s going anywhere.
In the end we’ll probably be stuck with Jeb.
And lose.
Zactly what I think. But, if the Trump can master the next five months like he has the last five months, then we have a slim chance for restorative changes, a guaranteed revived military capability, a restored economy on the horizon, a muscular foreign policy and trade deals that put America first, rather than the policorporations running our elections.
Slim is better than none. :D

.
I suppose that it would not be too onerous to request a link to affirm that allegation? ( something that rises to the Trumpet level )
Anxiously awaiting...
.
Agreed.

>> “But I see him as another cartel member. He is on the fringes, but still a member nonetheless, IMO.” <<
.
If you really stand by that assertion, you’re a loon!
.
BTW, Trump is not nor ever has been a “Builder.”
He’s a real estate shyster that often hires real builders, and several times has left them hanging high and dry on payday.
I think we all know that you’re committed to throwing your vote away, so no effort will be forthcoming to crack that ossified gray gunk.
.
Hmm.
I was able to say MY piece without any kind of personal attack.
LOL!
If Trump should go down, believe me, your guy hasn’t a prayer. But, by God, you stand on principle! LOL!
If I were you, I would be concerned about my own grey gunk, for wasting a vote. But, by God, you stand on principle, and...... that Thesaurus of yours! smirk.
