The letter the mayors signed and sent to the president is below:
Dear President Obama:
We commend your decision to open Americas doors to at least 10,000 Syrian refugees displaced by civil war, and applaud your commitment to increase the overall number of refugees the U.S. will resettle over the course of the next two years. This announcement is a vital initial step to honoring Americas commitment to support those fleeing oppression.
As the mayors of cities across the country, we see first-hand the myriad ways in which immigrants and refugees make our communities stronger economically, socially and culturally. We will welcome the Syrian families to make homes and new lives in our cities. Indeed, we are writing to say that we stand ready to work with your Administration to do much more and to urge you to increase still further the number of Syrian refugees the United States will accept for resettlement. The surge of humanity fleeing war and famine is the largest refugee crisis since World War II. The United States is in a position to lead a global narrative of inclusion and support. This is a challenge we can meet, and the undersigned mayors stand ready to help you meet it.
Our cities have been transformed by the skills and the spirit of those who come to us from around the world. The drive and enterprise of immigrants and refugees have helped build our economies, enliven our arts and culture, and enrich our neighborhoods.
We have taken in refugees, and will help make room for thousands more. This is because the United States has developed a robust screening and background check that assures us that we know who we are welcoming into this country. With national security systems in place, we stand ready to support the Administration in increasing the numbers of refugees we can accept.
With Pope Francis visit, we are mindful of his call for greater compassion in the face of this ongoing crisis and stand with you in supporting those journeying towards the hope of life.
Sincerely,
Ed Pawlowski, Mayor of Allentown, PA

I had an Uncle(married my father’s sister). On occasion and being drunk he would beat on my aunt and two cousins(females).
One night he got a “visit” from some of his relatives and friends.
The following Sunday and until he died, he and family sat in church, on the third pew from the front.
Alabama, 1940s.
Oh, those fun-loving moozlums. Remember, children...all cultures are equal. We must not be insensitive.
If only those who advocate for muslims to come into this country would have a taste of their own medicine. These people always seem to escape the consequences of their actions.
“Its just his culture.”
No culture is superior to any other culture. Right? Isn’t that what we have been told?
That’s the way it was then. Not too many paid “lawmen”. If you mistreated your family in any way, you were in line for a visit from the local neighboring men.
Yes, that is correct. But you have to read the fine print.
(traditional Christian culture is frowned upon. All things muslim or gay are to be accepted without question)
there is no such thing as a good mussie!
The little girl was a year older than the “prophet’s” wife Aisha, this makes her of age as far as muslims are concerned.
The Episcopalians brought a lot Somalis to my town years ago. The men were bad news. If you are female I don’t care how tough you think you are NEVER be alone with one. I once was alone on an elevator with a newly arrived male and you would’ve thought he was a Vulcan going through Ponn Far. He was standing in the corner sweating, twitching and darn near drooling while looking at me like a steak in front of a starving dog. If I hadn’t gotten off the when I did who knows what would’ve happened.
Ahmed Hersi Abdi

That right there tells you all you need to know.
I am waiting for a statement from CAIR.

Aisha was 6 when Mohammed married her. He waited until she was 9 before deflowering her - because he was such a wonderful guy.
SOB needs to die. Simply die.
He should be killed on the spot. Sad this country lets evil be a part of it.
I live in a community with many international students, including some from east Africa. Those folks from Ethiopia and Kenya didn’t have one good thing to say about Somalians.
Nobody has anything good to say about Somalis. They are the lowest of the low. They have no place in American society. They are about 50% of Dearbornistan, MI.
Huge colonies of fire ants are floating in the floodwaters in South Carolina looking for a home, tie this guy’s hands behind his back and put a few thousand fire ants in his clothes. If he’s still alive in thirty minutes tell him okay, now the REAL fun starts and call me for instructions.
