Just Watched Trump on Special Report with Bret Baier (vanity)

Posted on 10/06/2015 3:22:51 PM PDT by RoosterRedux

He was incredibly good. Gave specifics, was strong, was presidential.

And what energy!

I will post a video when it hits youtube.

According to your tagline - Trump is a true and real conservative because he HAS been in the trenches fighting and has the scars to prove it.

Now, whatcha gonna do with this Scripture in Philippians 2:12?

I quote the next verse:

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

And also to point out that to "work out your own salvation" has more to do with performing those acts which accompany it, but do not earn it:

Rom_4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

Apparently, you missed his interview on The Brody File which aired on October 1st. Now, if you will pleas tell all of America and the world everything you have asked God’s forgiveness for - then we shall demand it of Trump. I don’t blame him for not airing his personal prayers with the world - that is between him and God- and I think you would agree with that. Otherwise, we become the thought police.

Sweetest you, Guenevere.

Your observations are spot on correct!

Steven Hayes was the instigator and it didn’t take much to get Mara and Charles to once again go negative on Mr. Trump. because all three actually have it in for Mr. Trump.

Not only is Donald Trump of stronger character than all three, but he is also much more street wise and they’re all intimidated by him...lol. He is fearless and they’re PC.

Trump said he likes Kelo and they were all aghast! All of them missed Trump’s point, in that Trump was addressing ‘private business acquisitions, while they were addressing government takings’.

I say, screw that trio and GO TRUMP GO!

It is still up to us as Christians to make decisions based on the Word - obedience is what God desires. He prompts us with Scripture when needed. This reminds me of a little boy whose mother told him to bring the broom in from the back porch late one night. HE was scared of the dark - so she told him - “don’t worry - God will help you.” So, the little boy stuck his hand out the back door and said - “God, hand me the broom.” We still have to put legs to our faith.

Hayes is more of a foreign policy intel wonk. I used to look forward to his contributions on the panel. Sad to see his inner whiney little snot.

Suppose you have an unconverted person, but who is positive towards Christianity and is otherwise very good for the economy, etc etc., and he is running against: A Born-Again Believer or, if you're Catholic, a guy so holy he performs miracles with his touch, but who supports amnesty, (un)Free trade and many other things you know will destroy the country?

"I don’t give a rat’s behind if someone gets paid 5 times what their property is worth in order to build a highway, railroad, airport or hospital.………..illegals flooding in without a wall and costing us $300 BILLION every year in social services for them…."

Oh, but just wait until we hear about the the ranchers along the border squealing because they don't want a wall built on their property.

Great point! But my gut says the ranchers will be very happy to be shielded from everyday trespassers wielding weapons and contraband.

By the way, do you all oppose the Keystone Pipeline? Because if eminent domain should only apply to government owned property, it follows that we cannot support a foreign owned company to use eminent domain— which will be absolutely necessary— to benefits its business.

THAT ^^

Ka BOOM!!

Something I've wondered...Trump was a private citizen.

I believe the Congress could limit the effect of Kelo, and I believe state governments could do the same.

How many of those candidates currently in office have expended any effort toward that cause?

You’d think. But one of the reasons the already funded wall has not been built is ranchers complaining about their property.

“Border Fence Plan Worries Texas Ranchers”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/27/AR2006102700844.html

Ironically, you better believe Trump won’t think twice about applying eminent domain to build a wall.

First of all, I don’t understand - are you asking me a question? You made a statement of sorts and just let it hang. We have had born-again believers in office - Jimmy Carter claimed to be one - as did GWB and Reagan. As long as a president believes in God and does nothing to harm our faith - his job and duties are outlined in the Constitution - I didn’t read the clause in it that one has to be a born-again believer. However, it is much better for us as a country to have someone in office and who surrounds himself with believers, but that isn’t always possible. Governing is governing not pastoring a church. I don’t believe there is a holy Catholic person who can perform miracles with his touch. I will say this though - if this illegal problem isn’t brought up control every one of our rights and liberties will be eroded - including our freedom to worship God - it’s already starting. SO, allowing foreigners to overtake this country will result in a total loss of all of our liberties.

There is a poster claiming that Born again status trumps everything. So if the person isn't born again, but is better on the economy, will you vote for him even if there is a born again candidate available, although the born again candidate may be a loser or a commie?

From what you've written, however, the answer is "no." Can't remember what our disagreement is anymore.

You’re right and to me, his recent demeanor is very bitter and he’s too insistent that he alone is correct and that his insights are uniquely original when they’re definitely not, having just heard much of the same mere hours before from no less than Rush! LOL.

I don’t know that we had a disagreement. I was trying to respond to your post with what I thought you asked me. I doubt that a person can be a born-again believer and be a communist at the same time. I know the poster you are talking about and believe this person is a Cruz supporter. That’s her/his choice, but that doesn’t make that person the right one to be president. I very much like Ted Cruz - as a VP or AG only. I don’t think this is his time - basically, Senators haven’t made good presidents. The majority of them are lawyers, and this is where I think Ted excels - in the area of law and the Constitution. However, he has done nothing to prove to me that he has strong leadership skills. Arguing in front of the Supreme Court isn’t leadership - it’s good lawyering.
